    Brazil's Alison dos Santos has just won the second 400m hurdles semi-final in 47.31, a new area record.

    Qatar's Abderrahman Samba also progresses to the final with a 47.47 season's best.

    Women's triple jump final

    Venezuela's Yulimar Rojas still leads the triple jump final with that Olympic record in her opening jump.

    The silver medal position is currently occupied by Portugal's Patricia Mamona, who set a new national record of 15.01m with her most recent jump.

    Jamaica's Shanieka Ricketts is currently third.

    Elena Vesnina and Aslan Karatsev had to fight for it but they won the second set forcing a match decider in the form of a tie-break set.

    The first to 10 points (with a margin of two points) wins...

    A reminder, their opponents, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Andrey Rublev, are also from the ROC, so it's a win win for them really...

    I'm sure whoever is wearing the silver medal at the end of this will think so....right?

    Men's hockey quarter-finals: Great Britain v India

    The Great Britain men's team have already surpassed their efforts in Rio by reaching the knockout stage in Tokyo.

    India, who lost to Belgium in the quarter-finals five years ago, are the most successful team in Olympic hockey history, although the last of their eight golds was back in 1980.

    They are ranked fourth in the world, two places above GB.

    The winners will play Belgium in the last four after they defeated Spain 3-1 earlier while the other semi-final will be between Australia and Germany.

    Elsewhere in today's sailing, Alison Young ended her third Olympic campaign in 10th overall after an eighth-place finish in the laser radial medal race.

    Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre moved top of the women's 470 rankings after finishing first and third in their opening series. Mills won gold in 2016 and silver in 2012 with Saskia Clark.

    And two top-10 results leave Luke Patience and Chris Grube fourth in the men's 470. The last two 470 fleet races are held on Monday.

    Great Britain's sailing team have secured two more medals today.

    John Gimson, 38, and Anna Burnet, 28, are guaranteed to be on the mixed Nacra 17 podium. They sit second overall after completing the opening 12-race series with three top-five results.

    And Giles Scott, 34, leads the Finn class with an insurmountable gap to fourth place. The defending champion claimed his sixth win of the 10-race Finn series before closing it with a seventh place.

    "I'm happy leading them out going into the medal race," he said. "I've probably sailed the best week of my life. Hopefully I can finish it off."

    Both the medal races are held on Tuesday.
