Usain Bolt's reign as Olympic champion is about to end.
It's time for the men's 200m final.
World champion Noah Lyles has been drawn in lane three after slowing up in his semi-final and being overtaken by two athletes on the line. The American showman, who has a 19.50 PB, is expecting a fast race.
USA's 17-year-old Erriyon Knighton is the youngest male 200m finalist in Olympic history. Canada’s Rio silver medallist Andre de Grasse set a national record of 19.73 sec in his semi-final, with American Kenny Bednarek behind him in 19.83.

A season's best from Ashley Moloney of Australia to win the third 400m heat.
Canada's Pierce LePage is second, with Damian Warner third.
How does that affects the standings at the halfway stage?
It doesn't, so far as the top three goes. Warner continues to lead, followed by Moloney in second and LePage third.

The fact that Katarina Johnson-Thompson's Achilles has held up means she doesn't have to have surgery.
There's always going to be some compensation so it's not uncommon to have problems somewhere else on the body.

British Athletics have confirmed that Katarina Johnson-Thompson has withdrawn from the Olympic heptathlon.
They say it is an injury to her right calf, and NOT a flare-up of the Achilles injury she sustained over the winter.

Team GB's Nick Miller, speaking to BBC Sport after finishing sixth in the hammer final:
"I'm kind of disappointed. I couldn't quite find the rhythm. Sixth place - it is what it is.
"I was in good shape but it just didn't happen today. We figured few things out this year, my training's good. Next year try and stay healthy all the way."

We're up to the fifth event of the decathlon - the 400m.
After four events, Canada's Damian Warner - bronze medallist in Rio - leads on 3788 points, ahead of Ashley Moloney of Australia and fellow Canadian Pierce LePage.

Wojciech Nowicki won Olympic bronze in 2016 but this time he's taking home the big one!
The Pole wins gold with a best throw of 82.52m.
Silver goes to Norway's Eivind Henriksen, while Poland's Pawel Fajdek takes bronze.

A big improvement from Nick Miller in his sixth and final throw. He records a season's best of 78.15m but it's not enough to move him up the rankings.
He finishes sixth in the Olympic final.

He threw 77.64m in the fourth round but records a failure on his next turn.
Poland's Wojciech Nowicki has extended his lead at the top, throwing a PB of 82.52m.

It's been confirmed that Team GB will face India in the bronze medal match on Friday (02:30 BST).
India were beaten 2-1 by Argentina in their semi-final.
GB recorded a convincing 4-1 win over India in the pool stage of the tournament. Fingers crossed for more of the same.
