Try time again at the Allianz Stadium as Wigan cross through Josh Charnley. The England international, and the leading try scorer in Super League last term, pounces on a mix-up in the Roosters defence. Matty Smith lands the kick and Wigan are back within 14 points of the NRL champions.
Big Mac, external: Shows a lot when England's best team is being outclassed by Australia's best, we just cannot compete with that standard.

"Just when Wigan were looking good, Michael Jennings pounces on a loose ball. He is always going to get there first and that is try time very day of the week."
As quickly as Wigan get a sniff of a chance, they give possession away cheaply and Michael Jennings streaks clear to complete his hat-trick. He becomes the first man to register a trio of tries when the World Club Challenge has been contested as a one-off fixture. James Maloney kicks the goal to keep up his 100% record.
A superbly well-worked try by Wigan, that. Incidentally, Joe Burgess is not related to the four Burgess brothers from Yorkshire who currently ply their trade for South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL. But big things are expected of the Warriors winger, who has replaced the departed Pat Richards in 2014.
Is the comeback on? What a moment for youngster Joe Burgess. Wigan begin the second half well, forcing a repeat set, and the ball is worked wide for Burgess to slide over in the corner. Matty Smith misses the kick at goal from the touchline. But at the very least, the Warriors are on the board.
Just about to get things back under way at the Allianz Stadium. Can Wigan produce the mother of all comebacks?
Dave Cookson, external: Roosters are the standard Super League needs to aim for. Never going to happen with the current salary cap and the RFL running things.
While Wigan have been representing Super League down under, the domestic competition goes on. There were wins for St Helens and Leeds Rhinos last night, while Salford Red Devils will hope to extend their own unbeaten start to the campaign at struggling London Broncos this afternoon.

If you need some hope to cling to, remember that Wigan trailed 16-2 in the Grand Final last October and eventually beat Warrington 30-16.
Chrisy Raftery, external: Wigan definitely missing the likes of Tomkins and Richards!!! Not coming back this second half.
Under the Posts Blog, external: Wigan have shown that when Plan A is shut out in attack, they don't have a plan B.
mathew duffy, external: Poor by Wigan, look intimidated.

"Both coaches will be fairly happy with the scoreline. They have done a lot of scrambling defence. To be 18-0 down with the way they have played, they are still in this game."
If James Maloney thinks that first period from Sydney Roosters was "rusty", I would hate to come up against them when they are fully on their game. Wigan have stood up fairly well but the 18-0 half-time scoreline is probably a fair reflection.
Sydney Roosters half-back James Maloney: "It's a bit rusty because we have had a short pre-season. There have been a few errors but the boys have dealt with the physicality well."
A dominant first-half display sees the Roosters three tries to the good and the Warriors trying desperately to find a route back into the match. But I fear I may be bringing you news of more Australian sporting success against the English in the next hour or so.
Shaun Kenny-Dowall's effort is ruled out by the video referee as he had a foot in touch before grounding the ball. Only a few seconds left until half-time, and Wigan will be glad to hear the hooter.
Wigan are penalised as Eddy Pettybourne catches Shaun Kenny-Dowall high. The Warriors prop is put on report. Winger Kenny-Dowall is back on his feet, and he may be about to extend the lead...
Somehow Wigan escape further damage as Sydney hunt a fourth try which would surely seal the game before half-time. After Shaun Kenny-Dowall just fails to round off a swift passing move, Josh Charnley produces a towering leap to catch a high bomb.
Heartbreak for Michael Jennings again as he searches for his third try. The Roosters centre intercepts Sean O'Loughlin's pass but the ball slips agonisingly from his grasp.
