Warrington have had to do a lot of defending so far but finally get the ball inside the Dragons half.

Kevin Penny dances in and out of tackles as he runs across the field. But that run gives Richie Myler the chance to hoist the bomb which Eto Nabuli gathers inside his own in-goal area. Dragons must drop-out.

BBC Sport's Phil Cartwright at the Halliwell Jones Stadium: "Loved the reaction when a massive Ben Westwood hit forced Rory O'Brien to spill the ball there. Every Warrington player, to a man, raced to the veteran Warrington forward to pass on their gratitude. It ended a long period of St George pressure, which the hosts have emerged from unscathed."

At last, play is inside the St George Illawarra half - but not for long as another Warrington error hands possession back to the visitors.

That's good hands from the Dragons but Benji Marshall is obstructed by his own team-mate and Warrington have a penalty.

It's wasted, though, as they fail to find touch and the Dragons are again handed good field position.

That was a close call for Wolves. Jason Nightingale gathers a high bomb five metres from the Warrington line, but in trying to offload to Dylan Farrell the balls goes forward.

But Warrington just can't get it clear. Micky Higham knocks on and Wire are under pressure once more... well they are until Ben Westwood forces Rory O'Brien to fumble the ball and the hosts have it back.

Just in case you missed the major talking point of the first half. St George's Eto Nabuli escaped a yellow card for this high tackle on Kevin Penny... You'd have to say he was lucky. To say the least.

This second half has been mostly played in the Warrington half so far, and Wolves will start again with a scrum inside their 20-metre line.

Gareth O'Brien's pass is ruled to have gone forward on the fifth tackle and Dragons will get the ball back at another scrum inside the Wolves half.

St George will set up camp nine metres from the Wolves line. On the last tackle, Josh Dugan darts through a gap in the line and looks certain to score.

But Rhys Evans not only gets his tackle in but gets his body between Dugan and the ground and the Dragons full-back can't touch down. Brilliant defence.

  8. Kick-offpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February 2015

We're back under way. Gareth O'Brien kicks long, Josh Dugan gathers and the Dragons will start their first set of six of the second 40 minutes.

It ends with Benji Marshall kicking the ball deep and Rhys Evans has to gather inside his own in-goal area.

Warrington can't get the ball clear and Kevin Penny has to touch the ball down, meaning Wolves will have to drop-out from under their sticks.

BBC Sport's Phil Cartwright at the Halliwell Jones Stadium: "Well, where do we start with that first half?

"Eto Nabuli's high shot on Kevin Penny was the most controversial moment, for sure. It's a mystery to the home crowd how he avoided more serious punishment than just a penalty.

"Warrington have certainly given as good as they have got in the first 40 minutes, enjoying long spells of pressure and getting St George rocking in the closing stages. I can only recall the visitors having two serious chances for tries and they have taken both in clinical fashion."

It's certainly been entertaining but should Eto Nabuli been shown a yellow card for that high tackle on Kevin Penny?

So, one missed kick at goal separates the sides at half-time in what has been an enthralling contest.

It's anyone's game, but you would imagine Warrington coach Tony Smith would be disappointed that his side have been punished for two defensive lapses.

Wolves have the ball back and will have one last go after gathering the drop-out.

Ben Currie tries to slide a kick through after the hooter has gone, but New Zealand international Jason Nightingale gathers the loose ball and that will be half-time.

"I think that should have been a penalty try. Rhys Evans would have scored there and he was held back. I think Warrington have been badly done to there."

Ben Westwood and Micky Higham are both repelled by the St George Illawarra defence. Warrington are getting further away from the line.

Richie Myler hangs the kick high but the ball bounces off the shoulder of Eto Nabuli and the Dragons have a goal-line drop-out.

Gary Wheeler almost steps out of a tackle, but gets far enough to ensure Warrington are on the front foot.

Once again the ball goes goes high but as it bounces inside the Dragons' 10-metre line it looks like Wolves' Rhys Evans is pulled back.

Warrington will have a penalty and time for one set of six.

Warrington have used the high kick successfully over the past few seasons, but the Dragons are defending it well.

Richie Myler boots another one high at the end of another set and, not for the first time, Josh Dugan gobbles it up.

BBC Sport's Phil Cartwright at the Halliwell Jones Stadium: "Not sure how Eto Nabuli escaped punishment there. He clotheslined Kevin Penny WWE-style and Penny seemed to hang in mid-air for an age. Ben Thaler's decision incensed the home crowd, as you can imagine, but they were soon on their feet to acclaim a Ryan Atkins try."
