  1. Postpublished at 20:11 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

A fractional Terry Campese knock-on, after his tackle stops a dangerous looking Hull FC attack, gives the black-and-whites their first real chance of a sustained attack. What can they so with it?

  2. TRYpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

What a start for Hull KR - a brilliant run from Kieran Dixon sees him sprint deep into Hull FC territory, and a quick play-the-ball puts the Robins on the front foot before Terry Campese crashes over from short range. That one meant something.

  3. Postpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

Not the start that Hull KR half-back Albert Kelly was after as his second kick of the game is charged down. Again the Robins get away with it as the ball bounces to touch.

  4. Postpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

First mistake of the evening as Albert Kelly's clearing kick for Hull KR is charged down on halfway.

Hull FC regain possession but the home side do well not to give away the penalty after the ball goes forwards.

  5. Kick-offpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

The teams stride out from the tunnel and the noise is deafening. Hull FC kick off the 224th Hull derby.

    Hold on to your hats.

  6. Pre-match nerves?published at 20:01 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

The Hull FC dressing room - all black and white tiles and colour scheme - is a bundle of nervous energy, players pacing around, adjusting strapping and generally wishing away the seconds until kick-off.

The Hull KR squad are locked in a tight huddle, meanwhile. We're moments away now...

  9. 'We know what it means'published at 19:55 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

Radford's opposite number Chris Chester, the head coach at Hull KR, played for both sides in this fixture.

"I've been fortunate enough to play and coach in derbies and they are just great spectacles," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"The boys are ready to go and it's about keeping them on that leash and letting them off it for eight o'clock on Thursday evening.

"Last year's 28-0 defeat is still on my mind and it was probably one of the worst days I've encountered as a coach but I'm confident those days are gone.

"We know what it means and we need to make sure we walk off the pitch as the winning team."

  10. 'No enjoyment'published at 19:53 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

One man who knows a thing or two about playing in the Hull derby is Lee Radford, now coach of the home side but a veteran of more clashes with the Robins than he'd probably like to remember.

Here's what he had to say to BBC Radio Humberside:

"We could jump up to fourth with a win or it'll be doom and gloom if we lose. They throw the ball about and they ask questions of you defensively. They're difficult to defend against and we'll have to play with energy.

"You enjoy these games if you win but there's no enjoyment before them. It's stressful and you'd have to be a madman to be in this trade. At some point in this game momentum will be in our favour and we have got to make the most of it when it is us on top."

The lights are on, the stands are packed and the music - a bit of Nessun Dorma if my extremely limited knowledge of classical music is to be believed - is blaring out. It's Thursday night, we've got a bank holiday weekend to look forward to and it's the Hull derby.

Life is good. Not that everyone says they'll be enjoying the occasion...

  16. Wakey, Wakey!published at 19:46 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

When Wakefield won their first two games of the season there were some rumblings about whether they could be this season's surprise package.

A stack of injuries and five defeats later they prop up Super League.

But coach James Webster has a stronger-looking squad available for the visit of Catalans Dragons, with captain Danny Kirmond, Tim Smith and Jacob Miller all back in contention.

Another positive for Wakefield? Catalans haven't won on the road yet this term.

  17. Tonight's other derbypublished at 19:44 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

While the Hull derby may be taking centre stage, at the other end of the M62 (and a bit down the M6 as well), another derby will be played out in Cheshire as Widnes host Warrington.

Both sides head into the game on the back of defeats, with Widnes well beaten at Salford and the Wolves going down at home to Huddersfield.

And Wire head coach Tony Smith is expecting a cracking Easter atmosphere.

"It means a lot to both sets of fans and both sets of players," he told BBC Radio Merseyside. "We've had mixed outcomes there in the past, but we're all focused on a good performance after our last outing.

"They are tough on their own park and they feel they've got a real advantage there, so we'll do our best to take that advantage away."

Of course, the Hull derby isn't the only game tonight.

Here's what else we have for you in Super League...

  19. Postpublished at 19:41 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

    Gwilym Lloyd
    BBC Radio Humberside

"It's going to be intense, exciting and brutal - it doesn't matter how old you are, you're either black and white or red and white. Neutrals are not part of the equation tonight."

  20. Inconsistent Robinspublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 2 April 2015

As for Hull KR, their form took a massive upturn last week with a superb victory over St Helens, ending the defending champions' 100% record this season.

That said, the Robins - who lie eighth in the table - are yet to win back-to-back games this season, so which Hull KR will we see tonight?
