    Wigan 12-0 Castleford

This start wasn't in the script for Castleford, who have battled against the injury odds for much of 2016.

They lost centre Jake Webster to a hamstring injury before kick-off - another one to add to a long list they've had this season.

Sam Tomkins was too quick there. There didn't look like there was much on there, but he does that to a lot of players. He makes it look so easy. It's like he's made of rubber.

Try time again for Wigan, and it's Sam Tomkins for the Warriors.

Ten metres out, he darts past Grant Millington and touches down under the posts.

As Kevin Brown said earlier on BBC 5 live sports extra, this is ominous for Castleford - unless they can sort their defence out. Two missed tackles have led to two tries.

    Wigan 6-0 Castleford

Oooh, Luke Dorn was close there. The Castleford full-back tries to dart through a wall of cherry and white shirts and is superbly tackled within sight of the try line.

The Tigers go this way and that looking for a way through, but Grant Millington knocks on.

Efficient stuff from Wigan so far, but they give away a penalty on halfway...

It was almost a carbon copy of the break they made in the previous set. Great play. They found Sam Tomkins, then Sarginson, and the rest was pretty simple. Ominous times for Castleford on that left edge.

  7. try

TRY - Wigan 6-0 Castlefordpublished at 6 mins

    Dan Sarginson, goal Matty Smith

Wigan score the first try and it's far too easy. The Warriors put forward Ryan Sutton through a huge gap and he breaks clear.

The pacier Sam Tomkins is in support and Tomkins sets up Dan Sarginson for a routine score.

    Wigan 0-0 Castleford

A couple of completed sets apiece in the opening stages, without any real threat of a try.

Dom Manfredi stretches his legs on the Wigan right but is tackled 30 metres from the line.

There's just been a really nice feature on the BBC Two coverage about the scoring prowess of Castleford winger Denny Solomona, who already has 24 Super League tries this season.

It's led to some high praise from one of his fellow professionals...

I don't think he's just one of the best finishers in Super League - I think he's one of the best finishers in the world.

    Wigan v Castleford (17:30 BST)

Wigan are second in Super League and chasing a record 20th Challenge Cup triumph this season.

Castleford are five places and 11 points below Wigan in the league table. But they have had recent success in this competition, reaching the final two years ago before losing to Leeds Rhinos.

On their way to Wembley, they won at Wigan in the quarter-finals. Can they repeat the feat today?
