Still blood and thunder. Still every sinew being stretched. Still only six points between Hull and Warrington. Still no idea which team is going to win.

    I'm loving this game.

It's certainly a different Hull side that have come out for this second half.

They've made a couple of advances through the Warrington defence and that's really buoyed them.

Oh my word. That's a waste. What a waste for Hull.

Carlos Tuimavave got them to within 10 metres of the line and then they earned a repeat set, but Mahe Fonua kicks on the first tackle and gifts the ball back to a creaking Warrington side.

Buoyed by that penalty miss by Warrington's Kurt Gidley, Hull look to score their first points at the other end of the field.

Stefan Ratchford gratefully dives on the ball in the in-goal area to deny the onrushing Steve Michaels.

Today, it's all about the scoreboard.

It doesn't matter if you win by one point or 101 - the outcome's the same. But, that's a sitter missed there by Kurt Gidley.

I can only imagine the pressure of the occasion has got to him.

Some points would have been just the start that Warrington wanted to the second half - but Kurt Gidley slides his effort from the tee wide of the upright.

It was very kickable. How critical could that be?

For Hull, this second half is a bit like when it was nip and tuck for them in the semi-final against Wigan. They've got to look to come up with some inside plays.

As we prepare for the start of the second half at Wembley, here's the moment that separates the sides at half-time - Matty Russell's try for Warrington.

Former Leeds and England captain Kevin Sinfield on BBC One: "Some of those guys looked really tired when they came off at half-time.

"For the game to be in the balance as it is, expect a great second half."

As Leeds captain, Sinfield lifted the Challenge Cup in each of the last two seasons.

Hookers Danny Houghton and Daryl Clark are wearing the player mics at Wembley this afternoon.

What's immediately apparent when we run this feature is the thud of each tackle. Brutal.

    Rather them than me.

Warrington have attacked better. The instruction plays are what will win this game and at the moment, Warrington have done it better than Hull.

Warrington have just edged it. They've kicked better, we talked about dummy-half running before the game and that's what they've done and they've nailed it.

I don't think anyone expected a 34-32 scoreline or anything like that today, but I must admit that I didn't think it would take 34 minutes for us to see the first points.

It's been brilliant to watch, though. Hopefully more of the same intensity to follow in the second period.

Some half-time views from players from both sides on BBC One...

Warrington half-back Kurt Gidley: "It's a real battle. We've just got to keep building the sets and the kick-chase and believe in ourselves."

Hull captain Gareth Ellis: "We just need to be a bit more composed with ball-in-hand. It's pretty hot out there, but both teams have got to deal with it."

What a first half of rugby league.

Warrington lead at the interval, thanks to Matty Russell's try and Kurt Gidley's successful kick at goal.

It's absolutely draining this, with full-blooded commitment from both sides.

Nothing illegal, just absolute determination and commitment to stop a try.

Warrington want a second try before half-time and Toby King breaks clear, but is brought down 10 metres from the try line.

At the end of the tackle count, there are bodies lying all over the Wembley turf. It's carnage out there.
