Penalties being traded at the moment. Not points though.

Wigan throw the ball around with abandon but then chuck possession away.

Meanwhile, Daryl Clark has had a bang on the head and went down, but he's allowed to stay on.

Both teams have caught the high ball superbly in this match so far. I can only recall one error from either side, from Wigan's Josh Charnley in the first period.

It's a highly underrated skill, but one of the toughest to execute under extreme pressure.

The ball went straight through Josh Charnley's grasp on this occasion.

Warrington look to clump the ball downfield but it's an easy gather for the Wigan defence.

The Warriors are up to the 30 in Warrington territory on the last but Tom Lineham plucks the kick out of the air.

Pace has not been slowed yet. Relentless.

SO CLOSE BY WIGAN! Lewis Tierney ripped away down the left after a quick shift but the ball eventually comes to an end when Wigan play on after a tackle.

    Let off for Warrington there.

Wigan Warriors were very dominant in the opening set. Sean O'Loughlin, it is like he has never been away and not had any break because he has absolutely been scintillating since he came on the field.

Smart kick from Declan Patton has Wigan forced back toward their own line. Players use the break to get fluids on board.

Then we get a differential penalty for a penalty at the scrum. Rarer than a new fiver those!

We are back underway - Stefan Ratchford clubs it down field and Wigan return the ball. Warrington get it back and pour forward.

If anyone has the quality to turn this game on its head, then it's Anthony Gelling.

The mercurial centre can be infuriating or unplayable. Which will he come up with in the next 40?

Stay with us here to find out.

Well, Dan Sarginson certainly can for Wigan, on his last appearance in Cherry and White before a move to the NRL with Gold Coast Titans.

They need to get Matty Smith and George Williams on the ball a bit more, though you have to say the Wolves linespeed has shut down the running game of the latter.

Warrington's array of playmakers gives them so many points of attack, and they've got Chris Sandow on the bench.

The more Daryl Clark gets a scamper, when defenders tire, I think will ignite the game for the Primrose and Blue.

Declan Patton is having a great time of it of late, and his try is currently the difference.

Both sides ran themselves into the ground in that first 40, which arguably had more graft than craft.

Wigan might just need a bit of the latter to get back into this game.

Warrington go in ahead and Declan Patton has the Wolves smiling. (That's a smile yeah?)

Fierce, physical and plenty of action... Wigan went in front with the Matty Smith penalty goal but out came the Wolves to cancel it out and move ahead.

Big 40 to come, that was intense.

Smart kick from Declan Patton as he just drills one into touch down in Wigan's end of the field.

The Warriors, with minutes left of the half, have a long way to go up field here to have a late impact.

Not seen as much of Matty Russell's scooting either to be fair. Warrington playing a bit safe.

There's been a lot of grunt and grind so far, not much in terms of creativity though.

Warrington so far have really nullified the Wigan kicking game, and we've barely seen George Williams running with the ball which is another threat.

Declan Patton has had his big impact already, can his forwards keep Warrington ticking over?

Last tackle kick by George Williams mopped up well by Joe Westerman.

Warrington trying to rip a hole in the Wigan cover and have brought on Ryan Bailey to try to add a bit of bash to the forward.

Gripping stuff so far. Can't type fast enough!

Great break by Lewis Tierney down the left as Wigan streamed forward but Warrington stop him eventually.

Then Ryan Atkins tries to pick John Bateman's pocket but Rob Hicks blows the whistle.

We get a hilarious period of play where Hicks' blows his whistle vigorously while play continues up field.

Eventually, he brings them back for Wigan penalty - offside.
