TRY: Wigan 14-6 Hull FCpublished at 47 mins

    Josh Bowden

Josh Bowden gets the points, but the try was all about a thundering run from Danny Washbrook.

Washbrook hammers through the Wigan defensive line and offloads to Bowden, who keeps the ball all the way to the ground with Wigan players on his back.

Marc Sneyd makes no mistake with the conversion from under the posts.

Hull think they've gone over here, but the referee sends it for video review to make sure.

It looks like a try to me.

This is promising now, we've had repeat sets, a bit of off the cuff and Hull look better when they're less structured.

    Wigan 14-0 Hull FC

Hull get a bit of a lucky break and earn another set of six 10 metres out from the Wigan line.

Jamie Shaul's kick looks simple to deal with, but instead Josh Charnley is driven into touch after taking it in.

Hull have looked the better side since the restart.

  5. Back under waypublished at 41 mins

    Wigan 14-0 Hull FC

Wigan kick off to Hull to start the second half, with Warriors just 40 minutes from reaching Old Trafford as it stands.

Hull make it across half-way but kick straight to Dan Sarginson to ease any early nerves for the hosts.

Hull have been as poor as they have all year, we expected more on the occasion. Lee Radford will have got into them, their attack more than anything. We know what they're capable of, they're still in this game.

HT: Wigan Warriors 14-0 Hull FC

With all the drama of the Super League play-offs, and the Million Pound Game coming up tomorrow, it's easy to forget that England will be in action in the Four Nations at the end of next month.

Head coach Wayne Bennett has appointed the latest addition to his coaching staff today, with former Huddersfield Giants boss Paul Anderson joining the setup.

They've not shown much just yet, but Hull have no shortage of talent at their disposal to launch a fight-back in the second half.

The Black and Whites had six players named to Super League's Dream Team, including Man of Steel nominees Gareth Ellis and Danny Houghton.

Wigan winger Dom Manfredi, whose season was ended by a knee injury in August, is the Cherry and Whites' only representative in the team.

A brilliant first-half showing from Warriors, who have controlled the game from the moment it began.

What do Hull need to do if they're to have any chance of turning things around? Have Wigan already got it wrapped up?

  10. try

TRY: Wigan 14-0 Hull FCpublished at 40 mins

    John Bateman

John Bateman was onside and the try stands.

It's brilliant work from him, darting inside and getting low two metres from the line, allowing his momentum to carry him and the ball over the line.

This time the two points are added, making it 14-0 as the players go off for half-time.

  11. Wigan over again?published at 39 mins

    Wigan 8-0 Hull FC

Wigan have a drop-goal attempt charged down, but John Bateman picks the ball up and slides under the sticks.

Robert Hicks sends it to the video referee to check for offside.

Kirk Yeaman tries to offload to keep a Hull attack alive, but he knocks on instead.

Only two minutes left until the break now. It will need to be the team-talk of Lee Radford's life in the visitors' dressing room.

Hull FC need to get their really devastating players like Mahe Fonua into the game

I don't think it's unfair to describe Hull's performance as a little bit flat in the first-half.

Wigan aren't converting chances into points as they were in the opening 20 minutes - they still look far more likely to score again before half-time though.

Dan Sarginson is bleeding from his nose again and is asked to leave the field by referee Robert Hicks.

He and the Wigan physio have other ideas - eventually Hicks seems to give up asking.

Play continues while Sarginson gets cleaned up, but Warriors are called for a forward pass close to the Hull line to give Lee Radford's side a scrum.

    Wigan 8-0 Hull FC

A brilliant run from Kirk Yeaman gets Hull FC deep into Wigan territory again, but Carlos Tuimavave's kick is too firmly hit and Warriors gather.

More good defence from the hosts, but Hull are making it easy for their opponents.

It's total dominance from Wigan, I think they've been flawless, they've had power up the middle and they've tired Frank Pritchard out. They've come after him.

Ironic cheers from the visiting support as Wigan are called for offside.

The Black and Whites get a rare period of possession in the Warriors half and they get a further boost when Wigan can't hang on to a high kick in the left-hand corner.

Lewis Tierney, scorer of both tries so far, is down after a collision with a teammate in the air.

The Wigan kicking game has been perfect, the short game particularly, it's turning the screw.

    Wigan 8-0 Hull FC

As good as Wigan have been, Hull have unfortunately not provided much opposition tonight in the first 20 minutes.

Mark Minichiello and Chris Green are the latest players to be guilty of knocking on, giving Wigan a couple more chances to attack that shaky-looking right flank of Hull's defence.

There's a bit of a delay in proceedings as Dan Sarginson gets treatment after a high-looking tackle from the visitors' Mahe Fonua.
