Questions were asked, England answered them. An easy victory for Wayne Bennett's men against the side ranked fifth in the world and packed with NRL experience.

Not the perfect performance, but more than enough for them to look forward to the World Cup with plenty of confidence.
Big raps to Kevin Brown. He may have been a late call up, but he took his chance superbly with three try scoring assists in the second half.
Stefan Ratchford was also an eye-catcher with his fine individual try scoring effort in the first half.
Samoa had more possession in the second half and managed to cross through their headline acts - Joey Leila and Anthony Milford. But generally England looked solid in defending their own line.

Try McGillvary, missed con Gale
Jermaine McGillvary's whole career has been about proving people wrong and fighting hard to get what he wants. Tonight, that is a try.
He scoops up a loose ball and dives over. Luke Gale faces his trickiest kick of the night from the right touchline...has he got it? No! The ball arcs round nicely but clatters the inside of the right-hand post.

Jermaine McGillvary fancies a slice of this try pie. The England winger gallops about 40 metres after a kick upfield, forcing Samoa full-back Peter Mata'utia into a clean up operation.
Doesn't look like the Huddersfield man will get his try tonight.

The Campbelltown Stadium is emptying quicker than an office practicing a fire drill. Three more minutes for England to see out - another try would put a nice gloss on this victory.
Try Graham, con Gale
England are allowed the time to pick their moment - and that is what they do. Kevin Brown is given acres of space at dummy half, playing a short ball to James Graham who clatters through a couple of Samoan defenders like they are bunch of daffodils.
Another easy chance for Luke Gale, who continues his 100% record with the boot.

England appear to have decided they have had enough of letting Samoa think they have got a chance.
Wayne Bennett's side go on the attack, patiently probing and setting up field position. They look ready to pounce at any opportunity.

Samoa use that set wisely, building up the yards, going deep into English territory. Then they show where their problem is. Another poor decision on the final tackle lets England off the hook.

That's not what happens. Skipper Sean O'Loughlin fumbles the ball inside the Samoan 22, cue lots of fist-pumping and back-slapping from the Samoans.

However, they need a couple of solid back-to-back sets to stop that Samoan adrenaline pumping.

Are they going to wind up a haymaker? Nope they barely jab at the English defence. Josh McGuire is held up.

Samoa aren't giving this one up just yet. But again they lack quality in their decision making in the England half. They run the ball down the right flank on their last tackle, Joey Leilua going for a Hollywood flick towards winger Ken Maumalo. He finds touch.
