Naturally for a team of winners such as Leeds Rhinos there will be immense disappointment that they did not make the final of the Challenge Cup this season, but there are huge games ahead for them to realign their focus for.

Second placed going into the Super 8s, Leeds have genuine Grand Final ambitions. Their experience in big games will be key, if they can shrug off this disappointment in time for next Friday's opening game against Wigan.

Challenge Cup specialist John Kear gives his thoughts on tomorrow's game between Salford and Wigan.

We know who will be representing Yorkshire in the Challenge Cup final given the draw kept the two counties apart in the split, with Hull FC of the East Riding making their way to Wembley.

Lancashire gets a go tomorrow, with Salford and Wigan battling it out at Warrington's Halliwell Jones Stadium.

One man all eyes will be on is Manu Vatuvei. The Kiwi international known as the Beast, will be looking to give his new side Salford a big lift on the road to Wembley.

What a moment for Scott Taylor, the Hull fan living the dream for his boyhood team.

The celebrations with the fans say it all.

Hull have a few homegrown players in their ranks and it is a big strength in terms of team spirit and desire.

Leeds Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott told BBC Sport:

"They were very good. It was a good contest in the first half but, as Lee Radford said, they stifled us in the second half and their kicking game was outstanding.

"A couple of kick tries gave them a numerical advantage, which wasn't insurmountable but with the lack of field position we didn't have in that second half, I thought they were really good.

"We weren't awful, but they were really good."

Hull FC half-back and man of the match Marc Sneyd told BBC Sport:

"People don't realise how important kicking is, in games like this it makes a massive difference.

"We knew full well what we were walking into and Leeds didn't fail to test us.

"But we've stood up and done what's needed to be done so we're really happy with ourselves.

"To get to Wembley two years on the bounce is something else."

Hull FC head coach Lee Radford told BBC Sport:

"It's special, what we've spoken about all season, we defend that trophy.

"Special mention goes to conditioning and physio staff - I had a full pack of cards to have that is a credit at this stage of the season.

"We stifled them of field position, fixed up in second period and credit to Marc Sneyd's kicking game."

This was the moment that Hull FC put themselves into the Challenge Cup final.

Hull FC ended their Wembley hoodoo in 2016 with a thrilling victory against Warrington and they have the opportunity to defend their crown at the national stadium after a ruthless dismantling of Leeds Rhinos.

Marc Sneyd and Albert Kelly did the damage on the back of a massive forward pack - massive in stature and effort.

Leeds have quality but Hull kept them largely quiet. There's much for them to play for still, but they won't be going back to Wembley.

As for Hull, the double is still a possibility. They have a big few months to come.
