    Australia 6-0 England

    Michael Morgan is denied!

Cameron Smith was a blocking presence in the defensive line and stood right in front of Elliott Whitehead who was trying to stop Morgan.

Thank goodness for that from an England perspective.

He actually read the play really well. Credit to England but McGillvary's picked one out the skies there.

    Australia 6-0 England

Cooper Cronk slips through the line to have England heart rates quickening... they slide left and Jermaine McGillvary snaps up an intercept!

Raids forward but brought down... defence to attack. England's last tackle option though runs out of steam.

Australia get a tap on the 20.

England find touch with a clearing kick after Luke Gale's last tackle kick is blocked.

    Australia 6-0 England

Wayne Bennett up in the box looked unruffled despite the error.

England again on the ropes, Australia stretch the play across the field, sideline to sideline.

Cooper Cronk then teases a lovely kick in toward the in-goal but up there is Gareth Widdop to gather under pressure. Perfect response.

Gareth Widdop spills the ball inside his own 10! A rare old error for the England full-back.

Australia will turn that screw from 10 out on the scrum.

I just think England's improvements revolve around being patient in the attacking zones and maintaining their concentration.

Good to hear some raps for Luke Gale in today's game. Gale has been outstanding for Castleford this season but that's because he is the leader, he's the focal point, he's the man with the plan.

For England there are more ball-players wanting their say, he just needs the confidence to say - I'm the man here. Give me the ball.

Kick-off for the second half upon us.

It's literally a carbon copy of the first game where Australia were in control for the first 20 minutes but in the second half, England need to turn the screw.

I think the scoreline is a fair reflection of the first half. Australia although not unbelievably clinical and accurate with their skill, what they have been is relentless with the pressure on this England side, continually having to bring over their own try line. continual work for own field positions and when they have they made errors.

    Justin Holbrook
St Helens head coach on BBC One

One thing Australia have done really well this tournament is be patient. It's been a little bit boring but it's their safe option.

It's the influence of Slater, Cronk and Smith, where they can look to those three to make something happen. That strategy has worked well for them and I don't see them changing it in the second half.

Interesting that Justin Holbrook says Australia are a bit 'boring', and Robbie Hunter-Paul says they're robotic.

They're like the Terminator I always think. They've even got their own cyborg front-rower in David Klemmer. He's not actually a cyborg, well, I don't think he is anyway.

We don't want to go set for set with the Aussies for 80 minutes. They'll beat us.

We've got to be more clear with what we're doing and take our time with opportunities when they come. But we need to make something happen.
