Elliott Whitehead for me was exceptional.

Hard to disagree with Jon, there. He was superb at both ends of the pitch and critical to England's comeback.

Wayne Bennett's side came from 12-0 down to score 32 unanswered points against a New Zealand side that tired in the second period.

Debutants Jake Connor and Tommy Makinson impressed and scored tries, while Elliott Whitehead crossed twice for the men in white.

Hang on - James Graham taking the kick at goal?! The big prop puts it wide, but it matters not.
