The result may not be in doubt any more, but New Zealand are hoping to finish this match with a bit of flourish here.

Esan Marsters chips a kick through but there are no black shirts near it and England watch it behind to safety.

These sides will meet on English soil three times in October and November.

This has been an entertaining hors d'oeuvre in Denver, and England look like they're going to prevail.

Jon Gibbon: Get in Tommy Makinson! Thoroughly deserved try on debut for England! 12-0 down, 32-12 ahead.

Phil Lambell: That is more space than England normally see against Australia or New Zealand. Well finished Makinson.

That might be the last we see of Jake Connor today - he's off the field with what looks like a shoulder injury.

However, it's been an England debut to remember.

Meanwhile, New Zealand continue to be their own worst enemies and put the kick-off dead once more.

Fantastic. I'm so pleased for Tommy Makinson, I think he has been one of the best wingers in Super League and he has blossomed this season. That is a really good try.

It has been a really good team performance.

    Tommy Makinson, goal Gareth Widdop

England's other debutant gets on the scoresheet!

Elliott Whitehead intercepts, runs 50 metres and when he runs out of steam, Tommy Makinson is there to pick up the pieces.

The St Helens winger piles more misery onto a tiring New Zealand team. This match is surely won.

Rich: England getting into their stride now. Jake Connor is having a blinder! Issac Luke lucky to still be on the pitch.

Jon Carey: Take a bow Jake Connor!

Look at the footwork and strength to make the break. What a great individual try.

    Jake Connor, goal Gareth Widdop

A debut try for Jake Connor - and it's a special, special score for the Hull FC man.

Great footwork gets him clear, and then he sells the full-back an outrageous dummy before touching down unchallenged.

It may well be the first of many England scores for Connor - I think he'll be around this side for a good while.

England are running riot now. Time for a water break.

Elliott Whitehead will want to play in the USA more often if he can keep this standard of performance up.

Not content with two tries at one end, he's making crucial interventions to win the ball back for England at the other.

That makes it 20 unanswered points. It's New Zealand who are now under pressure to have a response or do England kick on for the victory?

Gareth Widdop's effort flies through the posts from the halfway line and England's lead is now eight.

Goodness me - for the second time in the match, New Zealand kick the ball dead from the kick-off, gifting England possession on halfway.

In fact, they're going for a shot at goal!

What a delightful piece of play from Gareth Widdop. I love the decision making from Gareth Widdop.

Eighteen unanswered points from England, they have grown into the game and they are now blossoming.

    Elliott Whitehead, goal Gareth Widdop

That's an excellent England try! And it's that man Elliott Whitehead again!

Gareth Widdop's low kick is wonderfully judged, Tommy Makinson gathers and feeds Whitehead to dive over for his second try of the match.

England lead for the first time, and Widdop adds the extra two points.

A lot of you on social media unhappy with the conduct of Issac Luke a little earlier.

He is off the field now - he's sitting on the bench having been replaced by Slade Griffin.

Fiona Galloway: Absolutely fuming that the New Zealand player can purposefully stand on a player's hand and not get a sending-off...

Ben Joy: Replays show without doubt purposely standing on another player's hand. How is that not 10 minutes in the bin?! Dirty cheap play, that has no place in our game. Isaac Luke should be embarrassed, but I bet he won’t be.

Rob North: Surely stamping on an opposition player's fingers is violent conduct and should result in dismissal?

A good set of six from England ends with Jake Connor's lofted kick, which is well claimed by Kiwi full-back Dallin Watene-Zelezniak.

He's had a good game so far.
