    St Helens 0-13 Catalans Dragons

It's just a yellow card for Knowles, who will spend ten minutes in the sin-bin.

It's a difficult call for the referee - Catalans fans will be upset not to see a red card produced, but Saints fans might have felt aggrieved by a sending off.

Morgan Knowles could be in trouble here.

The Saints man catches Kenny Edwards in the neck with a swinging left arm.

Ben Garcia is denied his second try as he's held up over the line.

As good as Saints are, they can't afford to fall another try behind.

  4. DROP-GOAL: St Helens 0-13 Catalans Dragonspublished at 33 mins

    Tony Gigot

This is a real test now for St Helens.

Catalans are showing no sign of letting up, and they expand their lead beyond two converted tries.

Tony Gigot sneaks a drop-goal attempt just inside the posts to take his side's advantage to 13 points.

What Catalans are doing down the middle with the ball is taking some of the energy out of the attack but I think defensively on the edges they are putting St Helens under pressure.

Their belief, their self confidence will be absolutely through the roof and that was a clever fifth-tackle play.

It's 10 out of 10 so far for the Dragons.

If you're not an avid rugby league follower, you may not know that Catalans' first try-scorer Lewis Tierney is the son of former dual-code international Jason Robinson.

Robinson was part of the all-conquering Wigan side of the 1990s and was man of the match in their 1995 Challenge Cup final win over Leeds, a game in which he scored two tries.

Great passing, before sheer power finishes the move off.

Ben Garcia drives through a pair of Saints tackles on the last for Catalans' second try of the game.

Josh Drinkwater hooks the conversion wide.

    St Helens 0-8 Catalans Dragons

This has been as good a game of rugby league as I've seen this season.

There hasn't been much in the way of scoring, but the tempo is outstanding, the stadium is rocking, and the stakes are enormous.

Saints might be eight points down, but there's been very, very little to separate the sides.

There's an incredible atmosphere in the stadium this afternoon and the smattering of Catalans fans here certainly enjoyed Lewis Tierney's try.

The Perpignan side deserve their lead. Could a first trip to Wembley since 2007 beckon?

Also, for what it's worth, even in the stands it's absolutely boiling so I've no idea how they're keeping up the tempo out there!

    St Helens 0-8 Catalans Dragons

    Heroic defence from the Dragons.

Tony Gigot and Ben Garcia combine to hold up James Roby and force the knock-on as he tries to get the ball over the line.

That's as close as Saints have come to breaching the Catalans defence.

    Brainless from Catalans.

Mickael Simon's late tackle gives Saints a chance from 10 metres out.

The Dragons forwards are playing exceptionally well, laying the platform and we haven't mentioned any of the St Helens attacking players yet.

They have been starved of possession.

Mike Lloyd: Catalans started really well, could be a cracker this!

Southstander: Perfect weather for the spectators, but I'd hate to be playing in this.

Mike Haigh: Completely deserved try for Catalans, their game plan has been executed perfectly. Where are the Saints?

    Lewis Tierney, goal Josh Drinkwater

    catalans' Lewis Tierney

A great diving finish from Lewis Tierney gives Catalans the first try of the afternoon.

Josh Drinkwater's kick gives Dragons great position, the ball is shifted out to the right wing, and Tierney dives to ground the ball in the corner under plenty of pressure.

    Drinkwater makes the tricky conversion.

A penalty for Catalans just over 30 metres out.

Tony Gigot wants to kick for two more, but Josh Drinkwater kicks for touch...

    St Helens 0-2 Catalans Dragons

And now a handling error from Josh Drinkwater relieves a little pressure on St Helens.

The pace has just dipped ever so slightly.

    St Helens 0-2 Catalans Dragons

Back-to-back penalties against Catalans give St Helens a new set of six starting midway inside their opponents' half.

But James Roby's pass is poor, Danny Richardson can't take it cleanly, and the Dragons survive unscathed.

That was a big let off.

The tempo is fantastic, it's so hot out there and the pace of the game is phenomenal.

    St Helens 0-2 Catalans Dragons

Catalans are defending very well, but their attack hasn't been quite as sharp so far.

It's very closely matched in the early stages, but St Helens are just starting to build the pressure.

    St Helens 0-2 Catalans Dragons

Catalans' defence draws another mistake from St Helens.

The French outfit are flying out to make tackles as soon as a Saints player receives the ball, and once again it forces a pass out into touch on the right.

Saints get another bite of the cherry, but Regan Grace is brought down nine metres short on the final tackle.
