  1. Hull KR in frontpublished at 19:57 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

    Salford 0-6 Hull KR

And now Hull KR take the lead at Salford! After a long spell of Salford pressure, Josh Drinkwater gets the opening score for the visitors.

Like Huddersfield, a win for Hull KR will see them safe.

  2. Great start for Huddersfieldpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

    Huddersfield 6-0 Catalans

Early Huddersfield nerves might have been settled a little bit with a try in the left corner for Louis Senior.

The Giants will be safe with a win.

  3. Who'll blink first?published at 19:54 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

    Wakefield 0-0 London

    Blood, and, thunder.

Huge up and under inside the opening two minutes and Wakey full-back Morgan Escare takes it under no pressure. You just get the feeling that it's going to be about defence tonight.

Wakefield end their set of six in the same fashion, London's Alex Walker takes the bomb and wins a penalty for his side as he's hit late after off-loading the ball.

    Wow, this is intense already.

  4. And so it begins...published at 19:50 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

We're under way at all five grounds. The closest we've got to a 'Million Pound Game' is Wakefield v London and it started five minutes late at Belle Vue.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, if London lose they are relegated from Super League.

If London win, Wakefield, Huddersfield or Hull KR will be playing in the Championship next season.

    Enjoy everyone.

    Leeds v Warrington (19:45 BST)

Warrington and Salford are battling it out for third place in Super League, and therefore an easier route through the play-offs.

The Wire are just about in pole position, but could win and still be overhauled by the Red Devils because of their relatively close points differences.

Leeds are safe from the drop and can't reach the play-offs, so in that sense they have relatively little to play for.

However, they will be hoping to send two club legends - Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Carl Ablett - into retirement with a victory.

    Brian Noble
Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

I'd be focusing on the performance and the start, particularly the first five or six sets for both teams, which are massively important.

If Wakefield get a good start, I'm not sure London have the arsenal to get back into the game over a long period of time.

    Huddersfield v Catalans (19:45 BST)

    Jermaine McGillvaryImage source, SWPIX.COM

As recently as six years ago, Huddersfield were winning the League Leaders' Shield and were within 80 minutes of a Grand Final. Tonight, their status in the top flight is at stake.

"The table doesn't lie, we deserve to be where we are," said Giants and England winger Jermaine McGillvary before the visit of Catalans.

"I'm not sulking because I think we deserve to be higher, we have been shocking all year. The season has been an absolute write-off regardless of what happens.

"Everyone is hurting, not just the players but staff, fans and everyone involved. It's all our, the playing staff's, fault.

"There are three other teams in the situation as well and it is still in our own hands. If we get a win against Catalans we stay up. It is all down to us."

  8. 'Relegation can hurt clubs for many years'published at 19:39 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

Salford v Hull KR (19:45 BST)

Hull KR missed the chance to secure survival last week, with their loss to London prolonging the relegation battle into what could be a dramatic finale tonight.

"We understand the ramifications of this week, as we understood the ramifications of last week," head coach Tony Smith told BBC Radio Humberside.

"It is not being taken lightly but we are not going to sit around and worry about things when we have to take them into our own hands.

"It (relegation) can hurt, and hurt clubs for many years. We are determined to get things great here over the next few years and we will regardless of which competition, but we certainly want to be in Super League and have that as our starting position."

  9. 'The players know what is at stake'published at 19:37 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

    Wakefield v London (19:45 BST)

A social media blackout has been imposed on Wakefield's players as head coach Chris Chester tries to get them to focus on the game and not its consequences.

"The players know the enormity of what is at stake," he told BBC Radio Leeds. "The social media blackout is to take pressure away from them and have them solely focused on getting a result.

"It (relegation) has not been discussed. They don't need me ramming it down their throats. The one thing the guys will be on Friday is ready."

    Wakefield v London (19:45 BST)

    London Broncos celebrateImage source, SWPIX.COM

London Broncos know all about winning big games. They beat Toronto in Canada last year to win promotion via the Million Pound Game, and have delivered some eye-catching victories against St Helens, Wigan and Leeds in Super League this season - when many expected them to be certs for relegation.

Can they pull it out of the fire one more time to survive in Super League?

"There is less money in the Championship than there was before, so this game is worth more than a million," owner David Hughes told BBC Radio 5 Live's Rugby League podcast.

"It would be a massive achievement to stay in Super League. We are a side that averages 1,500 to 2,000 people and you need to get 10,000 to a Super League game to break even, so you can work out what we lose and what we can't afford to pay on the squad."

  11. 'Everyone started believing' after early London winspublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

    Wakefield v London (19:45 BST)

    Phil Parry
BBC Radio London reporter on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

There's a spirit among the squad and I got that sense early on. Then they won three wins in the first six games - everyone started believing a bit more.

I know people have commented on the crowds building slowly but there is a sense of something happening. If the sport genuinely wants to look at expanding and introducing teams from elsewhere, then London is one of those areas that needs to grow.

  12. Team news from Wakefieldpublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

    Wakefield v London (19:45 BST)

"The more experienced players we can get on the field, the better" were the words of Wakefield coach Chris Chester in the build-up and he's been true to his word.

Though expected, the headline inclusion is centre Ryan Atkins, who rejoined the club last month, nine years after his original stint at Belle Vue.

For London, unsurprisingly Danny Ward goes with the same starting team that won at Hull KR last week to take us to this final round showdown.

There is one alteration among the interchanges though, as Will Lovell replaces Guy Armitage.

Wakefield: Escare; Jones-Bishop, Lyne, Atkins, Hampshire; Miller, Brough; Kopczak, Randell, Tangata, Kirmond, Tanginoa, Crowther.

    Interchanges: Wood, Green, King, Arundel.

London Broncos: Walker; Dixon, Morgan, Kear, Williams; Abdull, Lamb; Battye, Cunningham, Butler, Gee, Pitts, Yates.

    Interchanges: Fozard, Mason, Hindmarsh, Lovell.

    Brian Noble
Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

I think it'll be London, but who on earth would back against them?!

They weren't favourites to beat Toronto in the Million Pound Game last year and they won there. They had to go to Hull KR last week and win, and they did.

To win 10 games this season and be in this position - they have nothing to lose.

  20. The relegation permutationspublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 13 September 2019

This is how the bottom of the table looks going into tonight's final round of regular-season fixtures...

Bottom of Super LeagueImage source, .

The scenario for London is straightforward. Lose to Wakefield and they'll be relegated, win and they'll stay up - leaving the other three sides in a very precarious position.

Even if Wakefield are beaten by the Broncos, both Huddersfield AND Hull KR would need to win to send Trinity down (barring an unlikely swing in points difference).

Rovers and the Giants will be safe if they win, regardless of the result at Belle Vue, but defeats for either would leave them relying on scores from elsewhere to survive.
