That's all we have for you this afternoon, with Castleford underlining their credentials as one of the teams to beat in Super League with an impressive victory over St Helens.

As it stands, Super League will return on Thursday when Huddersfield host Hull - although that could all change as the coronavirus story continues to develop.

Hopefully, we'll be back again very soon, but in the meantime please stay safe.

  3. 'No major cause for concern'published at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2020

    FT: Castleford 28-14 St Helens

St Helens captain James Roby told Sky Sports:

"It's wasn't a good night for us. In the first half they got on top of us and we never really got our composure in the game and worked our way into it.

"We did a lot of defending in that first half, we were probably marginally better in the second but fair play to Castleford.

"We're disappointed with the result and there are areas to fix up but there is no major cause for concern."

  4. 'Our best performance of the season'published at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2020

    FT: Castleford 28-14 St Helens

Castleford's Paul McShane told Sky Sports:

"It's probably our best performance of the season, especially in the first half when we were up at 90% completion.

"We have got threats both sides of the field, last week we probably didn't take our opportunities and we did this week.

"It's been a mental week not knowing if we were going to be playing or not, but we just had to focus on ourselves and getting the two points against a great side."

Castleford stand-off Danny Richardson on BBC Radio 5 Live:

"We're delighted to get the win and the way the boys went about their performance shows that we've got something in us.

"We lost by just the one point last week and we had to bounce back and show a response so we're absolutely thrilled by that."

Saints looked error-strewn and down in the dumps.

The discipline is a huge problem for them.

They can't spend 20 minutes of every game a man down as they will struggle to come anywhere near to the levels they reached last season.

    Castleford 28-14 St Helens

A thoroughly deserved win for Castleford over the reigning Super League champions.

Those late tries by Jack Welsby and Luke Thompson were barely consolations for Saints.

As nice as it is to see two props breakaway the length of the field to score - Daryl Powell will be infuriated to see his side concede that try.

Not if they defend like that....

This is all about the St Helens front row as Alex Walmsley bursts through a gap in the home defence and then sends Luke Thompson over for the simplest of scores.

This has been an impressive display by Castleford. It is also a statement of intent?

You just needed the Benny Hill theme tune there to complete the picture of that Saints defensive mix-up!

TRY: Castleford 28-8 St Helenspublished at 75 mins

    Jake Trueman, goal Danny Richardson

Game over. It's a scruffy score but Jake Trueman won't care as he grabs his first of the season.

St Helens make a right mess of things, Paul McShane kicks a loose ball on, it comes back off the base of the post and Trueman gathers before popping it down.

Think Castleford may have been sucked into that defensive malaise we've seen from Saints so far as that wasn't their best work of the afternoon there.

There was barely a ripple of applause as Welsby went over such is the inevitability of this result.

    Jack Welsby

    Hello. Maybe it's not over...

Jack Welsby has struggled against the power of the Castleford midfield today but he canters over to give Saints some hope.

But surely that's extinguished by Tommy Makinson's missed conversion.

  16. PENALTY: Castleford 22-4 St Helenspublished at 69 mins

    Danny Richardson

No surprise that Danny Richardson takes the sting out of the game by slotting another penalty through the posts.

The lead is now 18 points. That's surely too much for Saints, isn't it?

Morgan Knowles what are you doing? After being handed off by Mike McMeeken, the St Helens forward then goes in on the Cas forward on the ground.

Easy call for referee Liam Moore - a Tigers penalty in front of the posts.

There's just a sense of inevitability about it now.

That Cheyse Blair try really sucked the impetus out of Saints and that time spent playing a man down really seemed to sap all the energy from them.

There's an element almost of Saints making it up as they go along in some of their decision-making.

But we should also give an acknowledgment to Cas too as they seemed to have found a formula to beat this side effectively.

    Castleford 20-4 St Helens

What a chance for St Helens? Castleford knock on to concede a scrum on their own 20m line, but when Saints swing the ball right Tommy Makinson can't claim a loose pass and the Tigers pick it up.

  20. PENALTY: Castleford 20-4 St Helenspublished at 65 mins

    Danny Richardson

St Helens captain James Roby is pinged for a high tackle on Jake Trueman.

Danny Richardson keeps the scoreboard ticking over for Castleford with a simple penalty in front of the sticks.
