Hull FC interim coach Andy Last told Sky Sports:

"I'm disappointed with how we performed. Credit to Wigan they've got the ability to upset your rhythm.

"We didn't quite come up with the answers tonight. We had some real intent about us in the first 20 minutes.

"I thought Josh Griffin's penalty was harsh and they ended up scoring off the back of it."

  4. 'Experience has helped us'published at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2020

    FT: Wigan 29-2 Hull FC

Wigan Warriors coach Adrian Lam told Sky Sports:

"I'm pleased we've gone one step further than we did last year.

"In the past month we've been quite consistent but we've had a full squad to pick from so there's some experience on the bench which has helped us.

"I presume tomorrow will be a tough game like the last month. It's been an up and down season but who knows who will win?

"We've got an extra day off and we'll pat everyone on the back, it's been a difficult year but we've got one big game to go."

Wigan Warriors captain Sean O'Loughlin told Sky Sports:

"I'm overwhelmed that we've made a Grand Final. The way the season's panned out and strangeness it's brought, it's weird playing here empty.

"I'm honoured I got an opportunity to play one more game here and now bring on next week.

"It would be special to win next week. One more trophy with the lads would make it special."

  6. Hastings 'speechless' after Wigan victorypublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2020

    FT: Wigan 29-2 Hull FC

Wigan Warriors half-back Jackson Hastings told Sky Sports:

"I dunno what to say. At the start of the year we wanted to win as much as we could.

"We've got a lot to play for. Lockers announcing his retirement was an extra incentive.

"I'm speechless. A couple of years ago I never thought I'd get the chance to reach a Grand Final but now I've done it twice."

Hull fans, I'd stick I'm a Celebrity on if I were you.

Jake Bibby has sent Wigan into an unassailable lead with less five minutes remaining.

Zak Hardaker misses the extras but I can't imagine that matters too much now.

  11. NO TRYpublished at 71 mins

    Wigan 19-2 Hull FC

No sooner do I say Wigan are totally in control do they cock up clearing a high kick and Hull go over.

Rugby union-bound Ratu Naulago, in possibly his final game for Hull, beats Joe Burgess to the ball but he's judged to have knocked on before teeing up Danny Houghton to touch down.

    A let-off for the hosts.

This is game management at its finest by Wigan. Even when Hull think they have the upper hand, you just see moments like that Bevan French tackle that keep Wigan on top.

It's no surprise he's on the list for Man of Steel.

What a tackle from Bevan French! It's just not happening for Hull tonight.

Jake Connor sends Marc Sneyd what looks to be clean through to score Hull's first try of the game.

But a steamrollering French puts in a try-saving tackle to thwart his efforts.

Josh Griffin puts a final kick in towards the corner at the result of Hull's latest drive to score a valuable try.

Wigan deal with it, however, as another Hull attack is thwarted.

The visitors are looking short of answers as to how they break down a firm Wigan defence right now.

Wigan's Ben Flower receives some treatment and is helped from the field having come away from that attack worse for wear.

It's unclear what's wrong with him at this stage, but he's in some discomfort.

    Joe Bullock takes his place.

Marc Sneyd's usually safe as houses when collecting the ball but he cheaply knocks on no sooner do Hull begin their attack.

Soon after Josh Griffin concedes a penalty and suddenly the hosts are within five metres of adding another try.

Eventually they withstand the pressure and force Wigan into passing forward.

Zak Hardaker causes himself a nuisance deep in the Hull half of the field and later Jackson Hastings gets onto the ball.

This isn't going Hull's way. A wayward backward pass sails over a crowd of Hull bodies and Jake Connor's forced into action to try and regain the ball under pressure.

Wigan look to capitalise and Sean O'Loughlin, in his final appearance at the DW Stadium, is finally held up on the turnover within five metres of the try-line.
