Not a huge surprise this one. The 2021 World Club Challenge will be moved to take place later in the year than usual.

The meeting of the Super League and National Rugby League champions usually takes place in late February or early March.

The impact of Covid-19, however, has meant the fixture will be pushed back in the calendar.

Sydney Roosters beat St Helens 20-12 in February to claim a record fifth title.

Perhaps the biggest news in rugby league this week comes ahead of tomorrow night's semi-final between St Helens and Catalans Dragons.

Catalans forwards Joel Tomkins and Michael McIlorum received eight and six game bans respectively for offences in their side's Super League play-off win over Leeds last week.

Tomkins was found guilty of 'inappropriate contact' on the backside of Leeds full-back Richie Myler.

McIlorum's six-game ban came from two separate incidents in the match - a two-game ban for a high tackle on Brad Dwyer and four more for trying to pick him up while injured.
