Isn't it appropriate that it's James Roby to drag them back into this.

James Roby, goal Lachlan Coote
St Helens go over through James Roby who runs in almost unopposed but it comes following some good work from Saints on the touchline.
A kick comes in during the build-up and Regan Grace is in touch before he pats it back in for Saints to catch Castleford out.
He leaps up and over the line before he gets onto it. Video referee Chris Kendall looks at the incident about 1,000 times before finally giving it.
Lachlan Coote adds the two and it's all square once more.

Richard: What an advert for rugby league.
Phil: Let’s hope the sport gets some new converts...
Castleford 12-6 St Helens
A bang on the head for St Helens' Joe Batchelor within seconds of the restart and he doesn't look good.
He receives some treatment from the physio in the aftermath of running into Adam Milner and he's off for a head injury assessment.
Castleford 12-6 St Helens
Here we go. For what it's worth, St Helens will now be in the half of the field with the sun in their eyes if they're defending a high kick.
We saw them exploiting that in the latter stages of the first half, will Castleford return the favour?

Che: If the temperature at Wembley is anything like up-North, fitness / fatigue are going to play a huge part here…
Rich: I wonder how much weight these players lose during this game through sweat with all the effort in this heat. Prob quite a few LBs of sweat.
Rich asking the important questions!

The players will be on their way out again soon but the temperature is still very warm.
Could we be in for another weather-affected half?

Tom: Need to find energy from somewhere for the second half. Fages might be having the worst final performance i've ever seen. Need a massive turn around.
Rich: Playing a cup final at the top level of club rugby league at this pace in this sun is a phenomenal effort. This would be tiring to play in during winter, let alone 30 degrees. Well done, chaps.

Cas' defence has been exemplary.

Mike: There’s a classic going on at Wembley!
Ryan: Outstanding Challenge Cup Final so far!
Nick: What a fantastic 1st half of rugby league that was in the heat of Wembley. Excellent coverage as always by BBC Sport.
HT: Castleford 12-6 St Helens
Theo Fages didn't take long to send St Helens in front against a stunned and tired Castleford in the early stages.
But Castleford hit back on the counter and in sensational fashion thanks to Niall Evalds.
One of the great Wembley tries, this.
But Jake Trueman rose high to work onto a high kick and ground the ball to send Castleford into the lead at the break.

It's been a great contest, there have been so many ebbs and flows within the game.

It was an incredible first 40 minutes. First 10 St Helens looked like the team in form, but since, Castleford have been the better side.

What a first half that was.
Castleford lead by six points at a sweltering Wembley. St Helens have work to do when we return.
Castleford 12-6 St Helens
Incredible carelessness from Castleford who, despite being in the ascendancy in the final stages of the first half, spill the ball on the 10-metre mark and concede possession to St Helens.
What a waste, they looked likely to add to their lead before that.
Castleford 12-6 St Helens
My word. Regan Grace might have just saved this game for St Helens.
On the last, Paul McShane sends a grubber kick in towards goal, Niall Evalds is MILIMETRES away from getting onto it but Grace kicks it dead at the very last second.
Amazing.

I reckon there'll be some tries before half-time. There are some tired bodies out there.
Castleford 12-6 St Helens
St Helens are beginning to get their mojo back and they've raced back into Castleford's half again.
On the last tackle, the kick is sent and Niall Evalds collects, but Jack Welsby clatters into him at speed.
Saints aren't lying back and want to get back on level terms at the break the way things are going.

Paul: This has been a fantastic game so far, everything you could want from a final!
Kyle:Two different and equally brilliant tries from Castleford. They deserve the lead. If they stop making errors near their own try line, Castleford can win this game. Great response from them.
