Two nights in a row we've seen teams in the eliminator stage of the Super League play-offs nilled in their own back yard.

Hull KR deservedly join Leeds in sealing their place in next week's semi-finals.

It was a night to forget for Warrington and Steve Price and a night to remember for the Robins.

We'll be back next week to take you through those two semi-finals as we get closer to this season's Grand Final.

For now, thank you for joining us.

What's more impressive for me about Hull KR isn't necessarily the 19 points, it's the zero and the way they went about their defence.

There were a couple of times when Warrington looked certain to score and somehow, by hook or by crook, a Hull KR jersey popped up to deny them.

  3. 'That performance was unacceptable'published at 21:53 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    FT: Warrington 0-19 Hull KR

Warrington Wolves head coach Steve Price told Sky Sports:

"I thought from the outset they were out enthused, they had high energy and our error rate was atrocious.

"It's hugely disappointing. Full credit to Hull KR, I thought they were outstanding tonight but we weren't at the standard we expect of ourselves.

"They're a quality team but I thought our intent, energy levels and everything we've prided ourselves on for a while, it's hugely disappointing.

"I thought we were playing some reasonable footy this season and getting some momentum but that performance tonight was unacceptable.

"We were beaten in every facet."

  4. 'It's enormous for Hull KR'published at 21:49 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    FT: Warrington 0-19 Hull KR

Hull KR head coach Tony Smith told Sky Sports:

"It's enormous for our club. As we said through the week, not many people gave us a chance and there's no guarantees in sport.

"We've got to find it again on Thursday but I am so proud of these people.

"Everybody doubts themselves at different stages in games but it's about whether you can pull together and we did."

Warrington probably felt going into the game they if they could deliver their best effort that would be enough but the guts and spirit of Hull KR has shown that on any day they are a threat.

They have certainly got it in them to go all the way.

  6. 'We scrambled for each other'published at 21:43 British Summer Time 24 September 2021

    FT: Warrington 0-19 Hull KR

Hull KR half-back Jordan Abdull told Sky Sports:

"We just defended as a team. Defence wins games, especially in play-off football.

"It was a 1 to 17 effort tonight and I couldn't be more proud of the boys.

"We're proud of each other. It comes down to effort and attitude and the will to turn up for the full game. We scrambled for each other tonight."

Hull KR came here with a dream to turn over Warrington when no one gave them a chance.

The dream is alive and now they head for the south of France.

Boos ring around the Halliwell Jones Stadium from the home supporters.

The Steve Price era at Warrington ends without so much as a whimper.

Hull KR, however, have earned their victory, nilled the Wire in their own back yard and progress to face Catalans next week.

As a reminder, as the lowest-ranked team remaining based on the end-of-season Super League table, Hull KR will travel to Catalans next week for their semi-final play-off.

Just a few minutes left of this game. I wonder how Dragons head coach Steve McNamara feels ahead of that fixture.

Josh Thewlis attempts to race onto a Warrington kick towards the corner as they look for some consolation points.

10 minutes to go. Three converted scores in it. Can Warrington get one try to force a late rally?

Well, Chris Hill's just knocked on soon after the restart as Warrington's errors continue.

Surely this is all over now!

Be honest, would you have had Hull KR down to be dominating this eliminator and possibly nilling Warrington?

Well that looks even more likely now as Jimmy Keinhorst runs in at the corner. Warrington look all over the place.

    Jordan Abdull misses the two.

Matty Ashton puts in a fantastic offload to George Williams as he looks to steamroller his way into scoring Warrington's first try.

However, Mikey Lewis is one of a number of Hull KR players to deal with the danger in a split second.

This is a sensational game of rugby league. Frantic stuff. If Warrington can get off the mark in the next minute or two, we could be in for a fantastic finale.

It's all Hull KR at the minute and Warrington are forced into conceding a number of goal-line drop-outs.

Jez Litten is the latest player to fire a speculative kick in to goal, forcing Warrington into another scramble to deal with it.

It's not going well for the hosts here whatsoever.

Gareth Widdop is the latest Warrington player to concede a penalty within kicking range to Hull KR.

However, this time KR opt to drive to the line instead and the hosts' blushes are spared as they can't work another try.

20 minutes left for Warrington to mount a comeback.
