    St Helens 14-4 Leeds

Plenty of afters following Rob Lui absolutely flattening Regan Grace.

Mark Percival takes exception to that challenge and goes in on Lui. Cue a mass, but short, brawl between both sets of players.

That Lui challenge was fine, but it was rash and more forceful than it needed to be.

    St Helens 14-4 Leeds

St Helens didn't take too long to make their player advantage count earlier on when Tom Briscoe went to the bin.

Can they make quick work again this time?

Harry Newman kicks too strongly as he attempts to chase on the turnover at the end of a promising set of six for the visitors.

Soon after, James Donaldson puts in a high arm on Lachlan Coote and the St Helens fans aren't happy.

Chris Kendall sends him to the bin. That's the third sin-binning of the evening.

It's game well and truly on. It's been a cracking game.

The opening 25 minutes from St Helens was outstanding and Leeds were struggling for periods.

However, they have found a way to turn the tide - they have stayed in the fight and have given themselves a chance.

Leeds get on the board right on the stroke of half-time and that will do a lot for the visitors' confidence after a dominant St Helens display for much of the half.

Work to do for Richard Agar's side. Saints, meanwhile, still look in decent shape.

  7. try

TRY: St Helens 14-4 Leedspublished at 39 mins

    Richie Myler

Richie Myler spins over the line for Leeds and referee Chris Kendall initially gives the try but sends it upstairs.

Video referee Liam Moore sees no reason why it can't be given and that's come right at the nick of time for Leeds, who did well to frustrate St Helens there.

Rhyse Martin sends the conversion wide, however.

    St Helens 14-0 Leeds

St Helens are scrambling now and they're struggling to deal with Leeds now that they're down to 12 players.

Ash Handley batters his way to within 10 metres of the line and eventually Leeds are rewarded with a set restart.

The Rhinos work it from side to side, knowing they really need to get off the mark, but Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook dispossesses them soon after.

    St Helens 14-0 Leeds

A promising Leeds attack upfield sees Harry Newman duck and dive into space and he attempts a kick chase.

But he's put far too much weight on the kick and it goes dead. From the restart, Tommy Makinson is in some discomfort after Bodene Thompson goes in on his hip as he's already being tackled.

Chris Kendall has a word but play continues.

    St Helens 14-0 Leeds

It's 12 v 13 now as Tom Briscoe comes back onto the field for Leeds after his sin-binning earlier.

Not long now until half-time and Leeds could do with some points on the board.

  11. SIN-BINpublished at 32 mins

    St Helens 14-0 Leeds

Sione Mata'utia is sent to the bin for contact to the head with force on Luke Briscoe and now St Helens are down to 12 players.

Briscoe was already on his way down before contact was made and I'm not sure Mata'utia could have avoided it if he tried.

That's a puzzling decision from referee Chris Kendall.

  12. Postpublished at 29 mins

    St Helens 14-0 Leeds

Lachlan Coote is having a game and a half. He weaves his way through a sea of Leeds bodies after throwing a clever dummy.

Jonny Lomax eventually plays the ball through to Alex Walmsley as St Helens break but he's held up before he can get to the line.

Leeds are holding on at the minute but Saints are in total control.

    St Helens 14-0 Leeds

James Roby - take a bow son. It came off the back of strong carries by Alex Walmsley and when Walmsley offloaded, Roby found himself in a little bit of space.

Leeds are really struggling to handle the go-forward and tempo that Saints are playing at.

The captain goes over! St Helens are jubilant as James Roby crosses over.

It didn't take long for Saints to make their player advantage count over Leeds.

Lachlan Coote adds the two and this is shaping up to be a pretty sobering half if you're a Leeds fan.

  15. PENALTY: St Helens 8-0 Leedspublished at 22 mins

    Lachlan Coote

Lachlan Coote is okay to carry on and goes on to kick the penalty that follows Tom Briscoe's trip to the bin.

St Helens are now eight points up against 12-man Leeds, but can they pad that lead out while Briscoe sits on the sidelines?

  16. SIN-BINpublished at 21 mins

    St Helens 6-0 Leeds

That's high! Tom Briscoe puts in a very high arm on Lachlan Coote as St Helens work upfield.

That is reckless. And he's off to the bin after seeing yellow.

This is the last thing Leeds need right now.

Leeds look a little bit lost and devoid of ideas in attack.

  18. Postpublished at 19 mins

    St Helens 6-0 Leeds

Is this the beginning of a Leeds revival? The Rhinos win a penalty on halfway after a ball steal.

The visitors work it left and right as they look to find a way through a resolute St Helens back line.

But they cheaply lose the ball before they can really get going as jeers go up around the Totally Wicked Stadium.

  19. PENALTY: St Helens 6-0 Leedspublished at 16 mins

    Lachlan Coote

St Helens win a penalty in kicking range after Rhyse Martin goes in on Sione Mata'utia.

Lachlan Coote duly kicks on target this time and Saints pad out their lead against Leeds by another two points.

  20. Postpublished at 14 mins

    St Helens 4-0 Leeds

Leeds are on the ropes here and haven't offered much in the opening stages of this game...which means now I've said that, they'll probably score a try.

St Helens are looking dangerous every time they have the ball. Leeds kick upfield on the turnover, camped in their own half, and Lachlan Coote keeps the ball in play with an audacious leap on the touchline.
