Wigan have been on top but it's Leeds who have struck first. It will be difficult for Wigan from here.

John Bateman looks to offload into the path of Harry Smith as Wigan look for a stylish, flowing move to gain them their first try of the game.

But the pass is too hard and it's knocked on.

Well, in the end, Leeds do indeed defend well as Jackson Hastings is left with no option but to kick across field on the fifth tackle in a desperate Wigan attempt to score.

However, the Australian kicks straight into the hands of Cameron Smith.

That's the closest either side have come to getting off the mark.

Richie Myler knocks on as he spills a high kick from Wigan, much to the joy of the home support.

Wigan look to capitalise immediately before they're told to bring the ball back for another set of six.

Leeds have some defending to do here as they're pegged back virtually on their own tryline.

Brad Dwyer gets to within inches of the Wigan tryline but he's successfully held up.

Moments later, the visitors knock the ball forward as they look to catch Wigan on the break.

The Wigan head coach, Adrian Lam, will be pleased in one aspect but they need to tidy up their kicking game.

They need to be better in the second half on those last-play finishes.

Richard Agar will be the happier of the two coaches that it's 0-0.

For all Leeds have had some good spells at times, they have spent most of the game in their own half. Wigan have had the majority of the position on the field.

He will have to readdress his troops, subtly change the game plan and try to find a way to be more potent in attack and try to get some points on the board because at some stage Wigan will click.
