    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

Just as Leeds make a promising break on halfway, Kruise Leeming is penalised for a forward pass.

The roar of 'forward!' from the home fans is the most they've had to cheer about in this half.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

Leeds have been forced to kick in to touch on the fifth right on halfway but that's not saying a great deal for Wigan who look short of answers despite the sheer amount of possession they're having at the minute.

We're past 30 minutes now and still no points to either side.

    This isn't a showpiece.

I thought Wigan were starting to get into a groove but they've lost their way a bit.

It's been the end of the sets where their passes haven't quite been on the money.

They need to fix those small things up.

For what it's worth, Wigan came into the play-offs having scored the fewest points on average in their Super League fixtures this season.

So perhaps it's not such a surprise that it's scoreless so far.

There's shades of the first half of last season's Grand Final here, minus some of the intensity.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

Some big hits going in now, summed up by Matt Prior going in hard on Wigan's Zak Hardaker.

Wigan are still dominating so far and Leeds are valiantly holding on but as it stands neither side have come close to getting points on the board.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

Wigan are in the ascendancy as it stands and once again they get deep into the Leeds half of the field.

Harry Smith tries a crossfield, lateral kick on the fifth tackle and the ball bounces loose but Leeds regain possession just before Zak Hardaker can make a move.

Good stuff this, but neither side have anything to show for their offensive and defensive efforts.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

Harry Smith once again gets in the mix as Wigan try to put Leeds under pressure but the visitors steal the ball, neutralising their attack.

No sooner does that happen, do Wigan get pegged back within their own 20-metre mark.

This is an energetic battle if I've ever seen one.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

We've gone beyond the 15-minute mark and these two teams are going full pelt against each other.

Could we be in for a tentative low-scoring and, dare I say it, edgy 80 minutes?

Or is this going to evolve into an absolute tryfest? I'm torn.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

This time it's Wigan's turn to break into the Leeds half of the field and they get to within 10 metres of the line but Harry Smith is held up on the last tackle.

Better stuff from the hosts but there was a loud groan from the home supporters as he was tackled.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

    Ouch.

A high tackle from Liam Farrell on Leeds' Luke Briscoe draws another penalty to the visitors, this time deep in their own half.

Kruise Leeming puts a speculative grubber kick in towards goal as Leeds break upfield but it's hastily caught by Zak Hardaker.

However, some good follow-up pressure from the Rhinos sees them force Hardaker into conceding a goal-line drop-out.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

Once again Ash Handley positions himself well to receive a crossfield turnover kick from the Wigan Warriors.

Soon after, a high tackle on Brad Dwyer results in a Leeds penalty, the first of the game so far.

As the game restarts there's a loose offload into touch from Tom Briscoe as they waste the chance to capitalise.

    Wigan 0-0 Leeds

Leeds do well to keep Wigan penned back in their own half and Jackson Hastings is forced to kick away on the turnover.

It's not the best kick and it falls straight into Ash Handley's arms just beyond halfway but fortunately for the hosts, Leeds can't make enough ground to mount a challenge to the line.

Leeds stand-off Rob Lui is also set to leave at the end of the season, having opted to retire following the conclusion of the play-offs.

The 31-year-old joined Leeds in 2019 on an initial loan deal from Salford before moving permanently - and is targeting a Grand Final win in addition to lifting the Challenge Cup last season.

"Everyone wants a fairy tale but, if it happens, it happens. I'm just happy with each day and every step I take going forward," he told BBC Radio Leeds.

"To be honest, Super League probably saved my career. I was down when I came here, I had a few dramas back home. Super League made me find that love for rugby league again. That's why I've stayed here as long as I have.

"If it wasn't for the game, I reckon I'd be back home, probably in jail or something."

Tonight marks the end of an era for the hosts, with several of their group bowing out of action at the end of the season.

Outgoing Wigan boss Adrian Lam takes charge of his final game at the DW Stadium for the Warriors, with Tony Clubb announcing his retirement yesterday.

Meanwhile, Wests Tigers-bound Jackson Hastings and Oliver Gildart are also in line for their final home games for the Cherry and Whites.
