That's remarkable, isn't it? Three attacks, three scores.

There's a full house in here, if Penrith did that, they're doing back flips, they're not happy.

That's the home advantage. If that's the other way around...

    And Wigan's third try stands.

Jake Wardle did enough to force himself over the line after collecting a neat little grubber kick from Jai Field.

Both Dylan Edwards and Brian To'o couldn't keep the centre out.

Harry Smith is again on the money with the conversion.

    Jake Wardle

Wigan's Jake Wardle manages to scramble over.

We are looking at the grounding and if everyone stayed onside from the kick.

    Wigan Warriors 10-12 Penrith Panthers

    Kevin Brown
Former England international on BBC Two

Wigan won't go away. They're resilient but this is going to affect their energy levels. Time after time bringing it out from their own 10 metre line.

You can see the lack of shape because of the fatigue levels and the Panthers are really turning the screw now.

    Wigan Warriors 10-12 Penrith Panthers

Wigan are gifted possession on the halfway line.

Penrith's Izack Tago catches Brian To'o out with his quick pass out to the right, and the winger can't recover to keep the ball in play.

    Wigan Warriors 10-12 Penrith Panthers

Penrith's Taylan May gets a little overexcited with the tryline in sight.

After both Liam Martin and Jake Cole rattled Wigan's defence, the ball is moved across to May on the left.

He in spun in an attempted tackle and tries a flick pass out the back, but the ball does out of play.

That's a bit of a let off for Wigan.

Wigan are being parked deep with every Penrith kick.

While Liam Marshall deals with it this time, Wigan have to work hard for metres.

The Warriors then kick early, get a fortunate bounce of the ball and Dylan Edwards is tracking back to mop up before he has Wigan players on him in numbers.

  8. 'Penrith are drowning Wigan at the minute'published at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February

I think we've seen five minutes of great discipline from Penrith. They've done nothing complicated, not took a lot of energy. They're drowning Wigan at the minute. Wigan need that penalty or a half-break just to get them that field position.

So much of the game has been played in the Wigan half.

Expect Nathan Cleary to keep targeting Abbas Miski under the high ball.

The Wigan winger again fumbles a catch, but this time it is backwards and he pounces on top of the loose ball to limit the damage.

There has been an early injury update for Wigan.

Kruise Leeming looked in some discomfort at the end of the first half when he came off, and it appears he won't return because of an ankle problem.

Penrith kick from just inside their own half at the end of their first set.

It's an assured restart from them.

But Abbas Miski knocks on at the end of Wigan's first set and it's scrum down and Penrith feed on the halfway line.

    Jamie Peacock
Former England captain on BBC Two

I thought Wigan were outstanding that first 20 mins. They took it to Penrith and I think they rattled them. The defence was brilliant, lots of intensity and they're on top of Penrith.

It looked like there were 20 Wigan players playing in that first set that's how hard they were hitting. They have been really tenacious, it's in their DNA.

As both sets of players take a half-time breather, here are some statistics to digest.

Wigan have worked three-time defending NRL champions Penrith in every area.

If the Panthers are going to claim a first World Club Challenge title, they will have to bust their guts some more in the second half.

That last-minute try from Dylan Edwards is enough to edge Penrith Panthers ahead.

Wigan have been immense defensively and have hurt the Panthers down the right a few times.

Kruise Leeming's try for Warriors was the pick of the action from the first 40 minutes.

Video referee Chris Kendall is looking at the grounding of the ball from every angle.

And Dylan Edwards' effort is all good. Penrth are level.

The full-back just spotted a slither of space to exploit.

He goes right first, before cutting back to his left to squeeze between two tacklers.

Nathan Cleary adds the extras and the visitors lead once more.
