Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Bevan French - it was superb skill again.
Crucial moment for the Wigan Warriors and again, the ascendency flips.

Callum: Wigan are up for this in front of a big crowd.
Rob: Absolutely fantastic game this. No better sport than RL when it’s played like this.
Kruise Leeming, conversion Harry Smith
Wigan have the lead again.
And the damage is again done out on the right edge
The ball is shifted through a number of hands, from Bevan French, to Abbas Miski and back inside for Willie Isa to send Kruise Leeming over.
Harry Smith sinks this conversion to add to the lead.
Wigan Warriors 4-6 Penrith Panthers
Less than 10 minutes of the first half remain.
Wigan fans seem a little outraged that Matt Eisenhuth's mess of catch off his bootlaces isn't deemed a knock-on.
It allows Penrith to probe again on the last tackle, but they are contained once more.

What I've learnt about Penrith after watching them these past few years is that they are a very patient, calm team with bucket loads of belief.
Fortune favours the brave, Nathan Cleary is there on the money. His game sense is remarkable.

With Penrith's first set after that try, they go to the other side and try test Liam Marshall under a high ball.
He, however, deals with it well.

Neil Morrow: Really good start by Wigan tonight. Penrith haven't been able to dominate. Took a lucky break to get them their try. It's a proper contest.
Sean Duffy: Penrith are up to something. They’re letting Wigan run themselves out.
Nathan Cleary, conversion Nathan Cleary
Penrith hit back.
Nathan Cleary put up a high ball and Wigan completely lose their cool under it.
Two Warriors go up for the catch, and it comes off Abbas Miski's head.
Cleary was following up, and picks up the scraps to level the scores with Panthers' first try.
He then adds the extras to give the Australians the lead.

Dylan Edwards seems grateful to see a kick trickle dead as Liam Farrell was hot on his heels.
That chance came from an early kick after Wigan were given a penalty in the middle of the park after Penrith went three in on a tackle.
Wigan Warriors 4-0 Penrith Panthers
Penrith gain metres with another penalty and just as they look to start knocking on the door for a try, they let the chance slip.
This time Moses Leota fumbles the ball as he was steaming in to try charge through that ironclad Wigan defence.

Penrith look clunky in attack. Whenever Wigan get down into the opposition's territory, they look dangerous.
At the moment, it's just not firing for the Penrith Panthers.
Wigan Warriors 4-0 Penrith Panthers
We are midway through the first half and this early season showpiece is being played at a frantic pace.
Penrith have just let a kick from Harry Smith bounce, and Wigan reclaim then decide to run it out wide.
Liam Marshall tries to scamper away, then flings the ball back inside. He, however, had run out of play so Penrith reset 20m out.
Wigan Warriors 4-0 Penrith Panthers
Dylan Edwards fielding the kick and determinedly charging his way up field is sight to behold, really.
He has just drawn the attention of a small Wigan armada.
Last season he made 551 runs, more than anyone else in the NRL, and gained 5,390 metres, again more than anyone else.
He topped the tallies of kick-return metres (with 1,890m) and was second for tackle breaks with 155. The guy is electric.

It makes you wonder. They've got the Iceman there - the best half-back in the world with the best kicking game in the world - and they've not found him on the last three times they've had good balls set.
It's really poor play from Penrith. They will be disappointed with that.
I think the signal of intent is they're going to try and get around Farrell and Smith. I think they see that as Wigan's Achilles heel.
Wigan Warriors 4-0 Penrith Panthers
Wigan's defence is working absolute wonders right now.
Penrith have their best sight of the tryline as they shift it at pace to Brian To'o on the right, but no fewer than four Wigan defenders wrap him up about two metres short.
Wigan Warriors 4-0 Penrith Panthers
Wigan are camped on their own line on the last tackle.
It's flung into the grasp of James Fisher-Harris, and Warriors are onto him quick to wrap the prop up.
Again, Penrith fail to make the most of a big opportunity by running it on the last like that.
Wigan Warriors 4-0 Penrith Panthers
That try has Wigan buzzing with confidence it seems.
Kaide Ellis, however, has given away a penalty for failing to release in a tackle.
It's Penrith's turn to turn the screws with a repeat set now.
Wigan Warriors 4-0 Penrith Panthers
And it’s actually a Penrith-born player that is one of Wigan’s biggest weapons in their attacking artillery tonight.
Abbas Miski, a Lebanon international, was Super League’s leading try scorer last season with 28, and was born in Panthers country in 1995.
Abbas Miski, conversion missed
And it counts!
Wigan have the lead.
Bevan French is drifting right, sucks in the Penrith defenders then sends a wonderful cut-out bullet pass to Abbas Miski to scamper over in the corner.
The review was for the grounding, and it was all good.
