A word on Leicester too, whose incredible run of nine consecutive Premiership finals at long last comes to an end. The current champions won't be defending their crown at Twickenham.

Northampton, appearing in the end-of-season play-offs for a fifth season in a row, have now made only their second Twickenham showpiece. And, with an Amlin Challenge Cup final against Bath to look forward to next Friday - which, of course, we hope you'll be joining us for again here on the BBC Sport website - the league and cup double is very much on for Jim Mallinder's men.

There it is! Drama at the death! Tom Wood may have just sent Northampton to Twickenham. Saints switch the ball from right to left and, probing, searching for a gap, the opportunity presents itself at last and Wood squeezes through. Franklin's Gardens erupts. Stephen Myler's conversion hits the post. One minute to survive for Northampton. One minute to rescue the match for Leicester.

Saints, a man short after Salesi Ma'afu's red card, are giving this one almighty go. They're pressing so hard, 10 metres short of the line, but Leicester's defence is magnificent. Northampton have a penalty though and, despite being right under the posts, head for the corner.

We shouldn't be overly surprised that Williams was so cool under immense pressure with that kick - he's actually Leicester's leading points scorer in the Premiership this season. That said, I doubt few penalties have been more important than that one. Five to go.

Leicester, who've been on the back foot for the vast majority of this second half, are back in Saints territory at last. And it's another infringement at the line-out by Northampton and Tigers have a penalty. Owen Williams, recently on for Toby Flood, converts and the hosts are four ahead once more.

Looks like we're heading to the TMO again! Northampton's Ben Foden appears to be taken out in the air by Dan Bowden, but referee JP Doyle isn't interested.
