So that's it from us. A great night for three of the Welsh rugby regions! Ospreys boost their chances of a home Pro12 semi-final with tonight's win over Glasgow.

Newport Gwent Dragons gain revenge for their European Challenge Cup semi-final defeat with a home win over Edinburgh. It was even a good night for a Welsh side not in action - Scarlets.

Tonight's victory for the Gwent side means that if Scarlets secure a bonus-point win over Cardiff Blues on Sunday, the Llanelli-based region will seal automatic European qualification.

    Nos da!

We were pretty fortunate a couple of things came off, but we knew if we stayed in the attacking third that we'd get something.

Tonight's win puts Ospreys in a great position to seal a home semi-final in the Pro12 play-offs. To put the importance of this into perspective, no side has ever won a last four Pro12 play-off match away from home. Beat Connacht away in Galway and Ospreys will get that home draw.

Dragons fully deserved it. There was only one team at the races.

They've redeemed themselves after that bitterly disappointing defeat in the European Challenge Cup semi-final.

A great win for Ospreys which sees them move above Glasgow to top the Pro12 for now. Both sides complete their league fixtures on Saturday 16 May, with the Welsh region away to Connacht, while Gregor Townsend's side host Ulster. The result also means that Steve Tandy's side maintain their unbeaten home record in the competition in 2014-15.

Dragons players and fans had spoken before this match about wanting to avenge that European Challenge Cup semi-final thrashing by Edinburgh - and they did so with relative ease.

They put the Scots under pressure for long periods and defended stoutly whenever the visitors mounted their rare attacks.

Scarlets will be delighted too, as this is a major blow for Edinburgh's hopes of finishing in sixth place in the Pro12 table, the last of the automatic Champions Cup qualifying spots.

  11. Try - Dragons 16-5 Edinburgh (Stuart McInally)published at 21:13 British Summer Time 8 May 2015

Edinburgh have a glimmer of hope as captain Stuart McInally plunges over from close range.

But with Tom Heatchote missing his conversion, it's a tall order for the Scots to come back.

As we enter the last five minutes or so - and perhaps a bit of stoppage time - the Dragons crowd are really getting behind their side.

Cries of 'Stand up for the men of Gwent' ring around Rodney Parade as Dragons players tackle themselves to a standstill to repel Edinburgh, who have still not scored a point this evening.

If the hosts can keep this up, you might even hear some Scarlets fans joining in with the Gwent-themed chants.

The rain is really lashing down now at the Liberty Stadium and handling errors are creeping into the match as a result. Can Ospreys make the most of a Glasgow spill from an attacking scrum in the visitors' 22? Yes! Glasgow are penalised and Dan Biggar slots over the penalty from in front of the posts.

Edinburgh seem determined to make this a nervous finale for Dragons as they take the ball into the hosts' 22.

Yet again, however, the Scots' handling lets them down as another pass goes to ground and Dragons have a scrum.

Ospreys nearly make the most of a lucky bounce from Rhys Webb's kick. The ball evades Nikola Matawalu, Dan Biggar runs down the line but his pass fails to find Josh Matavesi who has three Glasgow defenders around him. Referee George Clancy has referred it to the TMO to see if there's an early tackle on Matavesi.

After a long look Mr Clancy and Derek Bevan decides there wasn't!!!

Ospreys need to keep switched on now.

Glasgow are a very capable side and can score a couple of tries very quickly.

No one wants to be travelling away in the play-offs. Home advantage is massive.

What a response by Glasgow. The Scottish side's pack drive over from an attacking lineout with Chris Fusaro at the bottom of the pile and Duncan Weir adds the extras. Game on?
