Fiji with a line-out on the Uruguay 22m. A little rumble. Up to within 15m.

Nemani Nadolo in off his wing at pace. But he has spilled the ball forward as an ornate little set move goes awry.

Uruguay swoop and clear their lines. It is like attack against defence, but at the moment the defence is winning.

Replacement Mateo Sanguinetti is into the front row for Uruguay.

Uruguay still heading back at a rate of knots, but they have hooked that one cleanly and Alejandro Nieto picks and goes from eight. Uruguay with a platform in their own 22m.

And they boom a kick upfield...

A quarter-break from Andres Vilaseca as Uruguay sling the ball long and he claims a bouncing ball ahead of a mob of white shirts.

But he gets isolated from his support and Fiji strip possession from his grasp.

 Leroy Atalifo goes in a little high and is pinged. Nothing more than a penalty, but Uruguay kick up to the Fiji 22m and win the line-out...  

Good solid tackling from Matias Beer, going hard and low on opposite number Akapusi Qera out wide.

Uruguay are playing this cleverly - not getting lured into committing too many men into lost-cause rucks and keeping their shape.

And their patience is rewarded with a penalty to clear their lines.

Back up and running as Fiji gather the ball safely off the kick-off.

Uruguay and Fiji come jogging out of the Stadium MK tunnel side by side.

Romania made up a 15-point deficit on Canada earlier this afternoon to record the biggest comeback win in World Cup history.

And captain Mihai Macovei has dedicated the victory to the team's forwards coach, Marius Tincu, whose mother recently passed away.  

"We dedicate this victory to our fans and also Marius Tincu for staying with us because three days ago his mother died," Macovei said.

"All of our thoughts and hearts were with him."

Surprisingly it has been an even share of the ball between the two sides. But, tellingly, most of the action has been in the Uruguayan half - hence the scoreline.

Uruguay's will and resolve is winning over the neutrals.

But Fiji wing Nemani Nadolo is the superstar on the pitch.

He has made 50m with the ball in hand, made two clean breaks and kicked three out of four conversions like a parent punting a ball back to a toddler.

Malcolm Harvey: Just FYI, if Uruguay were to win tonight, then beat England next week(!), it'd leave the hosts needing to qualify for RWC '19..

You're not wrong Malcolm, but it's looking unlikely...

Fiji are ruling the scrum with an iron fist. They snatch one against the head as Uruguay are sent backpedalling and Ben Volavola chips ahead.

Nope, Agustín Ormaechea shanks that one badly and the crowd sigh with disappointment.

Nemani Nadolo on the charge down the line. The Fiji winger is nudged towards touch, opts to grubber forward before straying out of play and overcooks it.

Uruguay gamely chase up to close down the same man as they kick clear.

And they regain possession. Stadium MK are enjoying this resistance.
