Bath ran in six tries as they made light of Sam Burgess's return to rugby league by beating London Irish 45-14 in the Premiership.
Wales international Rhys Priestland's early penalty, followed by conversions of tries by loose forward Leroy Houston and Ollie Devoto gave Bath a 17-0 lead.
Shane Geraghty converted Scott Steele's try to whittle it back by the break.
But Bath ran in four second half-tries from Alafoti Faosiliva, Kyle Eastmond, Priestland and Nikola Matawalu.
England fly-half Owen Farrell kicked all of Saracens' points as they beat Northampton Saints at Franklin's Gardens.
Saints, who topped last season's Premiership table and were boosted by the return of Wales wing George North, went ahead with Stephen Myler's kick.
But Farrell twice landed penalties to give Sarries a 6-3 half-time lead.
In a match dominated by breakdown battles and kicking for territory, two more Farrell penalties after the break secured victory for the 2015 champions.

Northampton certainly having more of the territory and are on top in the forwards, but two late Owen Farrell penalties see them go into the break behind.
Neither side has had a sniff of the whitewash of the try-line with kicking and territory high up in terms of priorities so far.

Gareth Steenson's haul of 19 points secured an impressive win for Exeter Chiefs over Leicester Tigers in the Premiership.
The Chiefs fly-half stretched for the only try in the opening stages before adding two penalties to give the hosts a 13-3 lead at the break.
Adam Thompstone had a try disallowed for the Tigers who had only two Owen Williams penalties for their efforts.
The win moves Exeter to second, two points off leaders Saracens, while Leicester drop to fourth.

Worcester Warriors ran in four first-half tries as they claimed a bonus-point win over Newcastle Falcons at Sixways.
Former Scotland centre Alex Grove scored twice after tries from Chris Pennell and new signing Bryce Heem, Tom Heathcote landing all four conversions.
Newcastle got back to within 28-17 at the break when Tom Catterick came off the bench to match Micky Young's try.

Northampton certainly having more of the territory and are on top in the forwards, but two late Owen Farrell penalties see them go into the break behind.
Neither side has had a sniff of the whitewash of the try-line with kicking and territory high up in terms of priorities so far.
