Centre Henry Slade calls for the tee...

Owen Williams splits the sticks and Tigers are back to within losing bonus point range.

Now, can they do even better than that from this position?

The Tigers are back inside enemy territory once more now though, working through phase after phase and creeping beyond the 22-metre line...

John Lockyer is absolutely right, the Chiefs scrum has stood up really well this evening. 

And another successful set-piece, again inside their own half, sees Don Armand pick up at the base and Exeter clear their lines once more.

It's another decent push from the Chiefs pack, but scrum-half Will Chudley is penalised for his part in trying to steal the ball.

Owen Williams takes a leaf out of Gareth Steenson's book earlier on, heading to touch instead of the posts, but Exeter pinch it and clear.

Leicester are on the attack through Niki Goneva now, scorer of that superb try against Wasps last weekend.

He makes a handful of metres, but when it breaks down the referee decides that we'll go back for an earlier Chiefs knock-on.

What have we got here then? Television match official Geoff Warren is called into action once more - this time to look into a late hit from Exeter's Mitch Lees.

After a couple of glances, a penalty is awarded Leicester's way. Any further action required? The answer is no.

Matt Jess ends up dropping the ball in to touch, however, so the move breaks down.

You really don't see a Leicester pack back-pedaling like that from their own set-piece often, though.

Rob Baxter's men have just about managed to weather that early Tigers attacking storm, and the two packs will now get down to business inside the Leicester half.

Ben Youngs inserts, but it's a significant shove from the home pack and now the Chiefs come forward...

But the Chiefs turn it over and smash the ball long. It's a terrific clearing kick too, putting covering full-back Telusa Veainu under real pressure and hurrying his scrum-half Ben Youngs into a slice to touch.

Leicester are on the attack early in the second period, Tom Youngs barging his way through a couple of Exeter challenges.

Exeter's captain fantastic scored all 13 of their points before the break - more of the same in the second 40?

So Exeter are ahead at the break. Deserved? I'd say so on the balance of play.

But Leicester's Adam Thompstone will probably feel hard done by, his brilliant individual try unluckily but correctly chalked off.

Gareth Steenson's penalty from a marginal angle is good and Exeter will take a 10-point lead into half-time.
