  1. Penalty (Heathcote)published at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    Worcester 6-5 Exeter

A brilliant break from Cooper Vuna sets up another Worcester attack.

The hosts are piling on the pressure at the moment and Tom Heathcote slots another penalty after Exeter were caught offside. Good contest this.

  2. Penalty (Willis)published at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    Newcastle 10-0 Harlequins

But, having called for another scrum and secured the ball, Harlequins are pinged for holding on and Craig Willis splits the post with the subsequent penalty.

A more-than-reasonable start gets even better.

  3. Worcester 3-5 Exeterpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

In a slightly bizarre tactic when it comes to scrums, Exeter hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie is not even attempting to hook the ball when it comes in and is relying on his pack to drive over the ball.

Slightly scrappy so far from both teams, on a pitch that has large patches of brown where the grass has been worn down.

  4. Newcastle 7-0 Harlequinspublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

This has been a more-than-reasonable start from Newcastle, who will actually move off the bottom with victory this afternoon - and may even leapfrog Worcester too, if things go their way down the road at Sixways.

Another scrum is set three times before Harlequins win a penalty - and then elect for another scrum.

    Suckers for punishment?

  5. Penalty (Heathcote)published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    Worcester 3-5 Exeter

Worcester have been strong at scrum time so far and their pack wins a penalty.

Tom Heathcote gets their first points with a fine strike from distance.

  6. try

Try (Lawson, con Willis)published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    Newcastle 7-0 Harlequins

My crystal ball wasn't too far wrong, as Falcons get their rolling maul up and running in the right direction and Scott Lawson flops over the line in behind it.

Craig Willis converts and the Premiership's bottom side lead the fourth-placed side.

  7. Newcastle 0-0 Harlequinspublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

Not a huge amount to write home about so far, the two backlines exchanging a handful of up-and-unders before Newcastle win a penalty and pop the ball into the corner, 10 metres from the Harlequins line. First sniff of a try coming up?

  8. Worcester 0-5 Exeterpublished at 15:10

Good response by Worcester, who go through 15 phases of play, but they cannot break down the Chiefs defence, who keep the hosts out of their 22.

A Ryan Mills knock-on ends the play and Exeter have a scrum

  9. Newcastle 0-0 Harlequinspublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

A couple of early reset scrums under the gloomy skies at Kingston Park - hopefully not a sign of things to come, on both counts - before Harlequins secure the ball and clear via the boot of Marland Yarde.

  10. try

Try (Short, missed con Steenson)published at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    Worcester 0-5 Exeter

He scored two last week and it's taken just two minutes for wing James Short to touch down today.

A simple pass down the line from Exeter after a maul was formed from a line-out and Short cross out wide - eight for the season no and five in his last 10 Premiership games.

Gareth Steenson cannot add the extras.

  11. Kick-offpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    Newcastle 0-0 Harlequins

Harlequins, all in white, get the game under way through the boot of fly-half Nick Evans, kicking deep into opposition territory.

Newcastle, all in black, gather and clear.

  12. Kick-offpublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

    Worcester 0-0 Exeter

Worcester fly-half Tom Heathcote gets us under way... not the best start as he kicks straight into touch.

Exeter, playing in their changed strip of all white, take a scrum in the centre.

  13. Starting soonpublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2016

All four teams have completed their warm-ups and are back in the changing rooms doing their final preparations.

The final bits of tape being wrapped around, the heat spray going on and then the teams will run out onto the field...
