  1. Six Nations updatepublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

    France 17-18 Italy

A Hugo Bonneval try brings France back into the game, they've seen much more of the ball since Italy crossed.

The white shirts seem to be crossing the gain line with most attacks now and are on top in Paris.

  2. Wasps 9-8 Newcastlepublished at 15:47

Dan Robson knocks the ball forward and with literally seconds left on the clock Newcastle have a final opportunity to win it at the Ricoh Arena with a scrum.

Can the strugglers do it or will Wasps hold on?

  3. Half-timepublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

    Leicester 3-3 Sale

Not the greatest of spectacles at Welford Road, in tricky windy conditions.

The half ends with Sale fly-half Danny Cipriani missing a fourth penalty attempt from the halfway line, that's 12 potential points missed.

Leicester will have the wind in the second half and will fancy themselves form this position.

  4. Penalty (Botica)published at 15:43

    Harlequins 23-20 Northampton

But Quins strike straight back. Ben Botica puts his side ahead with five minutes to go.Not quite the second half that we had predicted but a tense finale to come.

  5. Penalty (Hanrahan)published at 15:41

    Harlequins 20-20 Northampton

Northampton with their first real period of pressure and they're rewarded with a penalty. After much debate, JJ Hanrahan slots the three points and we're all square at The Stoop. Tom Wood with four minutes left in the bin.

  6. Penalty (Gopperth)published at 15:41

Newcastle have struggled to cope a little with the pressure and give away another cheap penalty.

Jimmy Gopperth makes no mistake this time with a kick straight and true.

One point in it with less than five minutes to go.

    Scotland v England (16:50 GMT)

Eddie Jones is just over an hour away from his first taste of the Six Nations as a coach...

  8. Missed penalty (Gopperth)published at 15:39

    Wasps 6-8 Newcastle

Jimmy Gopperth comes so, so, so close to putting Wasps back in front.

He kicks a penalty from more than 40 metres out, 14 metres from the right-hand touchline. It's on line but comes up just, and I mean just, short of the posts.

Nili Latu kicks the ball away from under his own posts.

  9. Penalty (Burns)published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

    Leicester 3-3 Sale

A deliberate knock-on from Danny Cipriani sees Sale concede the penalty and Leicester have their first points from a first foray into the 22.

Fly-half Freddie Burns has the ball held for him but is successful as the rain relents at Welford Road.

  10. Wasps 6-8 Newcastlepublished at 15:34

Wasps are keeping up the pressure at the Ricoh Arena. Jimmy Gopperth kicks for the corner to put pressure onto the Falcons defence.

But the visitors win a scrum off the line-out to take a bit of that pressure away with 10 minutes to go.

  11. Harlequins 20-17 Northamptonpublished at 15:32

Harlequins with a surge over the line and Tom Wood is shown a yellow for pulling the maul down. Ben Botica goes for the corner as the home side look to make use of their one man advantage.A try now would surely sink this resilient Northampton side.

  12. Six Nations updatepublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

    France 10-18 Italy

In the opening game of this year's tournament, it's been a ferocious start to the second-half by Italy who were trailing at the break.

A converted try from Carlo Canna as well as a penalty sees them now lead.

  13. Wasps 6-8 Newcastlepublished at 15:29

Wasps haven't been able to take advantage of the extra man as Giovanbattista Venditti trudges back onto the field.

The home crowd are getting a bit techy here against a side second-from-bottom in the Premiership.

This would be a massive win for Falcons.

  14. Harlequins 20-17 Northamptonpublished at 15:28

A very open game here even if it doesn't quite have the spectacle of the first half. We've had 20 minutes in the second period and still no tries since the break. A blow for Harlequins though as Nick Evans leaves the field holding his shoulder and he's replaced by Ben Botica.

  15. Missed penaltypublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

    Leicester 0-3 Sale

One of the big accusations as to why Danny Cipriani does not get in the England team more is his goalkicking, and he misses two penalties in a row, so it's one from four attempts now.

That said, former Leicester flanker Steve Johnson has been impressed with the Sale number 10 so far...

  16. Leicester 0-3 Salepublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

Leicester are struggling to make real inroads into the Sale defence yet, perhaps not surprising given that the Sharks have the wind.

Nearly a quarter of the match gone and the Tigers have had not real territory out of their own half yet - they do have an excellent recent record against Sale though...

  17. Wasps 6-8 Newcastlepublished at 15:22

Wasps think they have gone over in the corner with James Cannon touching down.

But again the referee rules it out, this time for a forward pass in the build up. It's those little things that can make all the difference in a tight game like this.

  18. Harlequins 20-17 Northamptonpublished at 15:19

Harlequins are playing some brilliant rugby. Marland Yarde runs a fantastic line before offloading to Harry Sloan but he can't hold onto the ball and knocks on.

It's been all Quins since the break as Northampton struggle with the wind.

  19. Penalty (Cipriani)published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2016

    Leicester 0-3 Sale

Danny Cipriani would much rather be at Murrayfiled today in the white of England but he's in the day-glo yellow of Sale.

He makes no mistake with his second penalty attempt and the Shark's bright start is rewarded.

  20. Penalty (Gopperth)published at 15:14

    Wasps 6-8 Newcastle

Newcastle are down to 14 men as winger Giovanbattista Venditti has been shown a yellow card for an infringement at the breakdown.

From the resulting penalty, Jimmy Gopperth makes no mistake to bring his side to within two points of the visitors.
