    Harlequins 35-6 Bath

Charlie Walker's second try tonight was his eighth of the season, putting him one clear at the top of the Premiership's leading try-scorer charts.

Frank Halai of Wasps and last-season's top-scorer - Exeter powerhouse Thomas Waldrom - each have seven tries.

  2. Ford under more pressure?published at 52 mins

If Mike Ford was a Premier League football manager, you would think he might have gone the same way as Steve McClaren did earlier today at Newcastle.

From being beaten Premiership finalists in 2015, Bath are stuck in ninth place with what looks like just five wins from 15 games.

  3. Bath have a bit of pressurepublished at 48 mins

    Harlequins 35-6 Bath

It might be too little too late, but Bath have forced Quins into giving away a penalty near their try line. Referee Dean Richards asks home captain James Horwill to "have a word".

  4. Harlequins secure bonus pointpublished at 45 mins

    Harlequins 35-6 Bath

    Quote Message

We said it would be a costly 10 minutes and it's been their undoing. Bath have lacked any direction in attack. It's a costly sin-binning.

  5. try

Try (Horwill, Botica con)published at 44 mins

    Harlequins 35-6 Bath

Bath fail to control a Harlequins maul 40m out after a line-out and the batter their way towards the try line before Australia international James Horwill goes over from close range for the bonus point.

    Ben Botica adds the conversion.

  6. Walker gets his second trypublished at 42 mins

What a start to the second half for Harlequins!

Bath give away the ball just outside their own 22 and Charlie Walker turns on the jet boots, racing 70m to go over. Ben Botica adds the extras with Bath still down to 14 men.

  11. The Six Nations returnspublished at 20:40 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2016

Saturday: England v Wales (16:00 GMT)

There are all sorts of sub-texts to arguably the most anticipated match of this year's Six Nations - the title still up for grabs, Wales hoping to deny England the chance of a Grand Slam, revenge on offer after England's World Cup pool-stage defeat in September...

There's been the usual verbal jousting between the two camps in the build-up, with coaches of both sides accusing the other of illegal scrummaging.

BBC pundits Jeremy Guscott and Jonathan Davies have identified the key areas where Saturday's game will be won and lost.

  12. Penny for Ford's thoughtspublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2016

    HT: Harlequins 21-6 Bath

What will Mike Ford be thinking at half-time? His side have been put under the cosh for much of this first half with some excellent attacking rugby from Harlequins.

  13. Half timepublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2016

    Harlequins 21-6 Bath

I cannot remember a more entertaining first half of rugby with just two tries in it.

Harlequins' backs have been sublime for much of the game, but Bath almost held on. Harry Sloan's early try, along with three Ben Botica penalties had given Quins a decent lead, and Tom Homer's two penalties kept Bath in it before Charlie Walker's score and Botica's conversion gave a deserved 15-point lead at the interval.

Mark Lambert's barnstorming run sets up another Quins attack and they move it out wide to Charlie Walker who goes over on the left.

Ben Botica's conversion is good and Harlequins have a handy half-time lead.

  15. Bath's Cook sees yellowpublished at 37 mins

    Harlequins 14-6 Bath

    Quote Message

To lose your nine is not ideal - you have to have someone in a specialist position that they're not used to. Chris Cook talks a lot and bosses players around. That's so crucial. This could be a big 10 minutes for Bath.

Ollie Smith, Ex-Harlequins and England centre, BBC Radio London

  16. Penalty (Botica)published at 36 mins

    Harlequins 14-6 Bath

Ben Botica converts the penalty after Chris Cook's deliberate knock-on.

  17. Sin-bin (Cook)published at 35 mins

    Harlequins 11-6 Bath

Bath scrum-half Chris Cook deliberately knocks on at his own tryline. 10 minutes to reflect...

  18. Just short...published at 33 mins

    Harlequins 11-6 Bath

Mathew Luamanu is held up inches short after another excellent Harlequins attack. Charlie Walker's brilliant run down the right sucked in the Bath defence before the home side shipped the ball out to the left and missed out by inches.

  19. Harlequins 11-6 Bathpublished at 30 mins

Former All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick is enjoying his evening so far, as am I. It's been a very watchable game, with Quins five points ahead heading into the closing stages of the first half.

  20. Quins mesmerise Bath defencepublished at 27 mins

    Harlequins 11-6 Bath

"This is liquid rugby" is what Alan Partridge would have said for that last passage of play. Beautiful hands from Harlequins leaves Bath's defence at sixes and sevens before they manage to recover and force a scrum on their own 5m line.
