    London Irish 10-3 Gloucester

Very lively start to this game. Irish right back at Gloucester with some neat handling. Gloucester defend steadily before Mariano Galarza is pinged for not rolling away in the tackle and Greig Tonks has an easy three points.

  2. try

Try (Gopperth, con Gopperth)published at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2016

    Wasps 32-12 Sale

Has that snuffed out Sale's hopes of a comeback?

All but two of Wasps' players are involved in a powerful drive and Jimmy Gopperth goes over from the base of a driving maul before adding the extras.

That's the bonus point in the bag too.

  3. Penalty (Hook)published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2016

    London Irish 7-3 Gloucester

A good break from Tom Marshall sends Gloucester into the Irish 22. Topsy Ojo is then penalised for playing the ball on the ground and Gloucester get a chance to get on the board. James Hook sends the penalty over.

Irish come straight down into Gloucester's 22. Topsy Ojo takes Halani Aulika's pass and almost goes over. Irish pick and drive and Aulika burrows over near the posts, easy conversion, what a double-whammy for Gloucester.

Henry Trinder grubbers in behind the Irish defence, Tom Marshall gathers and gets an offload to Callum Braley, and a pop-pass sends Billy Twelvetrees over... but hold on, as the conversion is about to be taken, the referee wants a TMO check and the try is scrubbed off for runners in front of the kick.

  11. London Irish 0-0 Gloucesterpublished at 15.09

James Hook penalised for going off his feet at the breakdown, it's a kickable penalty but London Irish sense an early opportunity and kick for a lineout on the 22 but Gloucester defend the maul well and win the turnover.

  13. Sarries eye return to the toppublished at 15:06

Leicester Tigers v Saracens (15:15 GMT)

With their win this afternoon against Northampton, Exeter have leapfrogged Saracens to go top of the Premiership table.

Sarries can swiftly regain the leadership with victory at Leicester Tigers.

However, the north London side have only won once at Welford Road since September 2011 - when they ran out 32-27 winners in February 2013.

  15. Kick-offpublished at 15:01

A huge game at the basement this afternoon for London Irish and with it being St Patrick's Day weekend, a larger than average crowd is expected to be their 16th man.

They'll need them. The Exiles have six games left to save their Premiership status and a nine-point deficit to make up on Newcastle in 11th.

Can Gloucester be party poopers and plunge Irish deeper into the mire?

London Irish v Gloucester (15:00 GMT)

New Zealander Tom Marshall makes his debut for Gloucester at full-back - one of five changes from the side who lost at Worcester last week. Callum Bradley starts at scrum half with Henry Trinder on the left-wing. In the pack, Mariano Galarza replaces Tom Savage at lock and Lewis Ludlow starts at number eight.

  19. Time running out for Irishpublished at 14:49

London Irish v Gloucester (15:00 GMT)

Games are slipping away for London Irish to avoid relegation - just six to go. They realistically need at least two wins to close the gap on Newcastle. Irish gave Saracens a good test last week but the time for promising performances has gone. They will hope for a change of luck in their St Patrick's Day game.

Gloucester are very much in touch for a top six finish after impressive wins over Harlequins and Wasps in the last month. Defeat at Worcester in the last round was a blow and they will view this as a must-win for Champions Cup qualification.

Three tries in that first half for Wasps then. It's a long way back for Sale from here.
