Leicester have made 158 metres from their carries. Stade have made 58 metres. Sums it up nicely, really.

"Fabulous read. Stade are playing too close to the opposition - their snappy moves can't be laboured. Freddie Burns is just waiting for this pass to come his way. It was a brilliant read but you still have to execute it."

And another! Two in two minutes for Leicester.

Freddie Burns intercepts from the halfway point and races unopposed straight under the posts. He slots the extras as well.

Stade are capitulating before our eyes. It's not pretty.

"Lovely decision-making. Stade Francais punished sloppy handling but all of a sudden Betham looked up and used a bit of trickery with his eyes and body movement - he drew in the defenders and Niki Goneva just stayed out wide."

  5. try

Dance like no-one's watching, Niki Goneva.

The Leicester winger scores his fifth try in five games as he pirouettes through a very leaky Stade defence.

Freddie Burns lands the simplest of conversions to give them an 11-point advantage.

"Slightly strange decisions to use those crossfield balls from Leicester. When you've got the fleet of foot of Peter Betham and Manu Tuilagi, let's see those players step a bit and create momentum."

Leicester fly-half Freddie Burns tries to chip into the corner to reach Niki Goneva but it's just a bit too long and goes out of play.

Stade flanker Jonathan Ross (no, not that one) needs some strapping on his left ankle but the medic looks like he's mummifying him with the amount of tape he's using.

I can't imagine spending your Sunday afternoon tackling Manu Tuilagi is a pleasant experience. It's just taken two Stade players to take down the beastly England man as he tries to charge forward.

Stade have a scrum on the left flank and it's initially stolen by Leicester, before the French make amends and regain the ball.

It's all a bit messy at the moment.

"Classic quarter-final temperment there. Such good work from Leicester. Ben Youngs, one  of the smallest men, making one of the biggest hits of the day on a second row. It gets the crowd excited.

"But giving away penalties is going to be key for Leicester. I think the wind is quite gusty and Morne Steyn has been trying to punch the ball over, but that one he gave a right whallop."

The visitors attempt another attack from a scrum, and they're keeping possession well for the moment.

They've been disrupted by the Tigers defence but have won a penalty.

Can Stade fly-half Morne Steyn steady himself for this one from 30 metres out? Yes he can.

Stade make a patient break forward, but Tigers centre Manu Tuilagi manages to boot the ball away from the breakdown and the French are back behind the halfway line again.

Freddie Burns is having a decent game so far.

The Tigers fly-half capitalises on a loose ball from a scrum and tries to pelt forward but he's held up.

Another scrum in the middle of the park and it's the third penalty of the game against Leicester. Prop Marcos Ayerza isn't best please with that. Stade kick to touch.

"Niki Goneva is looking very slow to turn and get back into his 22. He gives it to Matt Tait and it doesn't go into the crowd. But Goneva is heavily strapped so maybe he's struggling."

Leicester surge down the right flank through Matthew Tait and as they are forced back by the Stade defence, the French side concede a penalty for offside.

Freddie Burns kicks from 30 metres out and it's a good one. Leicester extend their lead.

  16. Missed penalty - Morne Steynpublished at 12 mins

    Leicester 7-3 Stade Francais

Stade's half-back Morne Steyn isn't looking confident from the tee and he misses a three-pointer, after Leicester are penalised at the breakdown.

Freddie Burns launches an almighty kick down field to give Leicester some ground.

    "Stop complaining and start scrummaging."

Don't mess with referee Nigel Owens, front rowers.

Stade nudge forward and they win the penalty. Bit of fisty cuffs before they kick to touch. Nice and feisty, just how we like it.

  18. Penalty - Morne Steynpublished at 7 mins

Leicester are penalised at the scrum for collapsing and Stade kick to the corner to gain some territory.

The line-out just outside the 22 is decent, and Tigers are penalised again for not rolling away.

Morne Steyn sets up the tee in front of the posts and just about squeezes the ball over. Harder than it should have been, given the close proximity.

Bit of a breather (for us, not the players) as a scrum is reset in the middle of the field.

Dan Cole needs a bit of treatment, too, as the Leicester front rower has blood coming from his forehead.

Ah, lovely. He's not got a massive bandage around his bonce, a la Terry Butcher.

"I think Djibril Camara may have got a touch on it and then it's Leicester's ball, Stade didn't realise. The fleet of foot from Freddie Burns to get there and then immediately throw the ball to Manu Tuilagi was great from the fly-half."
