This game is wide open, both sets of players showing great confidence to run the ball and force the issue.

For the first time since the interval, Gloucester are edging up field and looking to add to their lead.

And there is a line-out close to Leicester's line.

    Leicester 23-27 Gloucester

After a period of sustained pressure, Leicester eventually opt to go for the sticks to chip away at Gloucester's lead.

Owen Williams slots the kick, and that is 10 unanswered points in the opening 15 minutes of the second half for the hosts.

    Points, points and more points!

Harlequins wrapped up their bonus point on 47 minutes but since then Newcastle have taken back all of the momentum and are in the ascendancy. Two tries from Nili Latu and one from Marcus Watson means that we've got a game on our hands.

At Sandy Park the try-scoring machine Thomas Waldrom has added another to his tally and Sale have just extended their lead over London Irish with another Danny Cipriani penalty.

  4. Leicester 20-27 Gloucesterpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

There have been some true magic moments in this game, none better than Owen Williams' chip kick over the top of Gloucester's defence which was collected by Manu Tuilagi at full speed.

Leicester continue to rush forward and Will Evans with a sublime little flick pass out the back. That from a flanker on his Premiership debut.

Shame that passage of play didn't end with a try. Exciting stuff.

Need a man to ignite your hopes? Presenting, Manu Tuilagi. The man for every occasion.

The England centre takes a pass from Owen Williams and shrugs off two tackles to cross for his second try of the game. Vital score.

  6. Leicester 13-27 Gloucesterpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

The first foray forward comes to nothing. But, just as quickly as the ball is cleared, Leicester are on the attack again.

Telusa Veainu almost sends Adam Thompstone through, but the winger spills the ball.

  7. Leicester 13-27 Gloucesterpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

BOOOOOOMMM! That is how you get the home crowd behind you as you try fight back, Telusa Veainu with a damaging run through the middle.

Gloucester's defence in the form of Henry Trinder was simply a hump in the road for this man.

Hosts Leicester Tigers get the second half under way.

Can Gloucester keep up their first half efforts, or will the Tigers recover?

Rob Baxter's team talk must have been a big one as Exeter secure the bonus point within 60 seconds of the restart.

In London it takes Harlequins a little longer to gain their bonus-point, but it arrives nonetheless. Joe Marchant finishes the job but the Falcons immediately score one back down the right-hand wing.

It's a little quieter on the points front at the Madejski Stadium as neither side have added to their half-time tallies and Sale's five-point advantage remains.

    HT: Leicester 13-27 Gloucester

If things stay as they are, Gloucester will do their top six hopes a huge favour.

For Leicester, their prospects of reaching a 12th successive play-off campaign begins to look shaky. And director of rugby Richard Cockerill insisted they would make the top four just days ago.

I guess, it was hard to expect a Gloucester - who had lost its previous three games - would be so dynamic today.

Three tries in nine minutes from Gloucester sees them lead comfortably at the break.

A penalty from Owen Williams with the final play of the first-half sees the Leicester reduce the arrears, but the Cherry and Whites were irrepressible at the end of the half.

    Half-time

It's half-time in our 15:00 BST kick-offs and there's been plenty of action!

At The Twickenham Stoop Harlequins are in control against Newcastle Falcons, Conor O'Shea's men are three to the good and will be eyeing the bonus point early in the second half.

Thomas Waldrom, Olly Woodburn and James Short gave Exeter a comfortable 17-0 lead but scores from Cooper Vuna and Andy Symons have pushed Worcester right back into the game at Sandy Park.

And in Berkshire Sale Sharks are five points ahead of London Irish. There will be a lot being said in the home dressing room by Tom Coventry because we all know how important this game is in the context of their season.

  15. try

Try (McAllister, con Laidlaw)published at 15:58 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Leicester 10-27 Gloucester

Three defender, three metres to make. HA. Paddy McAllister powers over from a pick and drive for Gloucester's third try.

Matt Kvesic was first to eye up the line, only for Leicester's Will Evans - on his Premiership debut - to dump the flanker with a great tackle.

But there is still huge pressure on Tigers' line, and McAllister makes the breakthrough just a few minutes before the break.

  16. Leicester 10-20 Gloucesterpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

Gloucester players dance on the spot, ball in one hand looking for the pass. From the breakdown, they are finding the extra pass.

There is an inside look, a step, play switches back in field.

It's looking like Sevens rugby by Gloucester at times, and Leicester simply can not deal with the ingenuity of it all.

  17. try

Try (Trinder, con Laidlaw)published at 15:51 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Leicester 10-20 Gloucester

Henry Trinder spots a space. Henry Trinder changes direction. Henry Trinder dives over for Gloucester second try. Great stuff.

There was room to exploit out on the right edge, but it was a powerful run from Gareth Evans on the left that worked Gloucester into such a good position.

After waiting a while for the first points of the afternoon there's now plenty arriving at Sandy Park... Exeter Chiefs add two tries in two minutes before Worcester strike back!

In Reading Steve Diamond's Sale Sharks have nudged their noses in front with a Danny Cipriani penalty and a converted try. In between Greig Tonks had a penalty attempt but that missed and Irish need a response quickly.

Back in South West London Harlequins' Joe Gray snatches an opportunistic try thanks to his quick reactions and Ben Botica sweetly adds the extras!

  19. try

    Leicester 10-13 Gloucester

One intercept come to nothing. The next leads to a try for Gloucester.

James Hook comes up with the ball and pumps those legs... as he begins to be reeled in by Leicester's cover defence, Steve McColl is on his outside to run in the score.

Leicester always seem to make something of nothing.

Vereniki Goneva is tied up, but swings around to make room for the pass. Leicester almost go in, a forward pass is a free run at the line after Owen Williams is taken high.

Leicester regain the ball and Logovi'i Mulipola almost charges over. Gloucester almost come away with an intercept break through Henry Trinder. It's all happening.
