    Wasps 11-14 Exeter

Here comes the mud! Exeter's ice white kits are no more. Get the detergent out.

The Chiefs earn a line-out near half-way, and the visitors work through the phases trying to build momentum.

It gathers pace, with Geoff Parling at the heart of it. Wasps hold them up for the time being but Exeter are only five metres out now.

"What a try! This is what we've all come to see. That was wonderful, magically worked by Wasps. It was a beautiful kick from Dan Robson - I thought the move had ended. But he had the vision to kick towards the corner and find Charles Piutau."

    A special try from Wasps!

A little grubber kick from Dan Robson lands perfectly on the angle for Charles Piutau and the full-back races over to touch down in the corner.

Jimmy Gopperth has a hard conversion to take from the left-hand side and it drifts wide.

"It is a misty drizzle that will make the ball like a bar of soap. The most intelligent side will come out on top. At the moment that is the Chiefs."

It's proper soggy at the Ricoh Arena. Proper, proper soggy.

And Lachie Turner is a victim of the weather. The Exeter full-back drops the ball from a high kick - scrum to Wasps.

It could be a messy half of rugby.

"Wasps are down but they are not a long way out. They need to change their attack, create a diversion with two lines so Exeter don't know where the quick ball is going to."

"We will find out how this Wasps side can handle the pressure. It is almost 10 years since Wasps have been in this scenario. This side want to create their own legacy - they don't want to hear about the past great Wasps sides."

Wasps' director of rugby Dai Young looks a bit fed up in the stands.

His side looked lively in the opening 20 minutes but Exeter eventually came into their own to take an eight-point lead.

Are the Chiefs heading for their first ever European semi-final? We'll know the answer in the next hour.

"A game of rugby is about the ebb and flow - and the flow is with the Chiefs. They need to retain that momentum and not let Wasps back in."

    Wasps 6-14 Exeter

Exeter earn a scrum in their own half and Wasps are penalised for collapsing.

The ever reliable Gareth Steenson boots the ball into touch and it's a Chiefs line-out.

It's the last action of the first half, though, as Steenson clears the ball into the crowd. Forty minutes up on the clock.

"Wasps forcing it and that's what Exeter have made Wasps do. They forced the pressure. Wasps have got to regroup, be calm and patient, and believe their skill and execution can get the points back. They are far from being out of this game."

The TMO says Waldrom definitely crossed. Exeter extend their lead.

Great movement from the big man... although he did sort of belly-flop over in the end.

Gareth Steenson makes it two from two with the conversion.

LOOK OUT - Thomas Waldrom's at it again.

He intercepts a Wasps ball and goes charging for the line. The Wasps defence bring him down but it looks like he's slid over.

"For some inexplicable reason Exeter messed about with the ball instead of smashing it down the field. Silly, unnecessary, unforced from Exeter. They have got away with one."

"Waldrom's unstoppable! As soon as he gets his hands on the ball 10 yards out they set that maul - it's an efficient machine.

"Disappointing for Wasps because they knew it was coming. But they couldn't do anything about it."
