Leicester have only gone and got themselves into double figures within six minutes of the restart.

Whisper it, but they have been the much better side in these opening second-half exchanges.

Tigers couldn't take any of their chances in the first period but they've had one opportunity in this second half and they've turned it into seven points. Let's see whether that's the start of something special or not.

  4. try

Try (Veainu, con Williams)published at 41 mins

    Saracens 31-7 Leicester

Here we go then, the comeback is on!

Perfect start by Leicester as fly-half Owen Williams bursts brilliantly through the line and then fizzes a questionable pass to Telusa Veainu to cross out wide. Was that forward? Not according to the TMO - his 13th try this season.

Williams adds the conversion and we can all hope that is the start of something interesting.

What is it with Leicester and fly starts? We're just checking a forward pass with the TMO but Telusa Veainu looks to be in.

Is there a finer club side in the world than Saracens right now?

Well, Francis thinks there are a few better sides.

But if you look at their defence which as been awesome, they've been dangerous with ball in hand and have made Leicester look very average.

That's probably the fourth loopy pass Leicester have tried to throw over a pressing Saracens defence. That's the absolute killer blow for Leicester. You'd have to put the odds at 5,000-1 for them to win this now. Sometimes they come off... But not very often!

  10. Half-timepublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 21 May 2016

    Saracens 31-0 Leicester

Well, what more can you say about Saracens? That was brutally clinical.

Leicester looked to have the perfect start after 45 seconds but Manu Tuilgi's try was ruled out, and he's since been forced off through injury,

Since then, Will Fraser, two from Chris Wyles and a Chris Ashton score are sending the hosts to Twickenham.

To be a fly on the wall for Richard Cockerill's half-time team talk.

  11. try

Try (Wyles), con Farrell)published at 40 mins

    Saracens 31-0 Leicester

Ben Youngs takes his time over the pass, and Chris Wyles reads it and sprints 80m to score his second and Saracens fourth try of the afternoon.

A quick check with the TMO for the grounding, which is fine, and Owen Farrell keeps up his 100% kicking record.

This could turn embarrassing for Leicester.

Line-out to Leicester deep inside Saracens territory and I make that the closest they have been to the try line since Manu Tuilagi's effort was ruled out in the first minute.

Tigers are sloppy keeping the ball but a Saracens knock-on means they have another go at the scrum.

  13. Saracens 24-0 Leicesterpublished at 36 mins

Too many times so far this afternoon Leicester have broken the line and the supporting runner has knocked on or made a mistake. And it happens again through Michael Fitzgerald.

On the sideline, Manu Tuilagi's right leg is wrapped in ice.

Mako Vunipola's conditioning has gone through the roof this season. His set-piece is coming on, he still has his perceived issues at the scrum, but with Joe Marler not going on the tour he will be first choice for England this summer.

  15. Penalty (Farrell)published at 33 mins

    Saracens 24-0 Leicester

He kicked all 21 points for Saracens in the European Champions Cup final and he's up to 10 already today.

Owen Farrell slots his fourth kick in a row to nudge the hosts even further ahead.

A moment of respite for Leicester, who win a penalty inside their own 22 when Saracens were driving forward.

They've not been outplayed by any stretch, have Tigers, but they are going to have to produce something special to get back into this. Probably starting with scoring next.

That try shows that set-pieces are not just about resets or winning penalties, they're about creating an attacking platform. A brilliant finish from Chris Ashton, who beats Vereniki Goneva for pace down the blind side.

Well I spoke about how open this game was, but out of nowhere Saracens are three tries up.

It all comes from Billy Vunipola's pick up from the base of the scrum and it is expert hands from the supporting runners to find Chris Ashton out wide.

There's still work for the former rugby league man to do, but he sprints towards the line and then jinks inside to crash over.

Owen Farrell judges the wind perfectly for two more points. Game over?

Manu Tuilagi is limping off and what damage will that do? Not only for Leicester, but also for England, with the squad announcement coming tomorrow. He doesn't look happy and Leicester are really up against it now.
