    Saracens 14-0 Leicester

This could be a huge turning point in the game, and a huge turning point for England as well.

Leicester centre Manu Tuilagi is forced off with what looks like a leg injury and Adam Thompstone is on for him.

    Saracens 14-0 Leicester

For all Leicester have tried to play with ball in hand and throw it around, Saracens take control of this tie.

Tigers fly-half Owen Williams grubbers the ball through, but it's read expertly by USA international Chris Wyles, who runs it back hard immediately and steps right to find a gaping hole and sprint through under the shadow of the posts.

Owen Farrell makes it two from two from the tee.

Where Alex Goode has progressed is his ability to get the ball as the first receiver, particularly on the short side, so he's really complementing Owen Farrell now. He's tougher mentally now and for me at the moment he would be my starting full-back in Australia.

  4. Saracens 7-0 Leicesterpublished at 18 mins

The Saracens famed 'Wolfpack' defence shows its muscle, blitzing the Leicester backline into a mistake to win the ball back.

Seconds later, the Tigers have the ball again and look to work it wide.

I'm very much hoping this style carries on for the next 60 odd minutes.

Rugby can often be a game that lacks in high entertain. Kick and clap is a well-known derogatory term.

But not today. Both teams are looking to run the ball from deep and recently appointed Premiership player of the year Alex Goode just overcooks his pass for a Leicester line-out, which they set and look to drive.

Leicester's players, as you'd expect, look really up for this.

They're really bright with ball in hand, breaking tackles and generally looking menacing.

A Graham Kitchener knock on trying to gather a high ball ends the move deep in Saracens territory.

Saracens players are all appealing as they've won the ball from the Leicester put in to the scrum, with hooker Harry Thacker not quite timing his strike back.

From the reset, Tigers make good metres working the ball through hands and are not far from the 22 for the first time.

There will be a message going on from the Saracens coaching staff to start using the blind side. Leicester are leaving themselves light there and Saracens should be looking to exploit it.

  10. Saracens 7-0 Leicesterpublished at 9 mins

Leicester get the advantage from the scrum with referee JP Doyle saying Saracens brought the set-piece down.

They work the ball wide, but the move fizzles out for a line-out. Sarries are quite good at these.

Billy Vunipola with a blustering return as Saracens look to dominate up front.

As the home side spin it wide, Tigers winger Telusa Veainu very nearly has an intercept try but knocks on for a scrum to the hosts.

This has been a blistering opening few minutes.

It was a great attack down the left-hand side by Saracens. Their ability to play through the line has really developed over the last 12 months and all their forwards now have the ability to play the ball.

Just class from Saracens, pure class.

Alex Goode's miss-pass finds Chris Wyles, who gives it to Chris Ashton, but he's hauled down 15m out.

Sarries recycle, Schalk Brits rides the tackle, offloads to George Kruis, who then finds a bursting Will Fraser to score under the sticks.

Owen Farrell adds the extras - the England fly-half is up to 100 Premiership points this season.

It's been a frantic start to this tie, one or two missed tackles and there's a real flow about the game already.

Owen Farrell's grubber kick is gathered by Niki Goneva and the Leicester winger boots it clear.

It's a stunning start from Leicester, first Peter Beetham and then Ben Youngs breaking the line.

England scrum-half Youngs then fed Manu Tuilagi to ghost in, but an infringement in the build-up meant it was ruled out and now the hosts are on the attack inside the 22.

The half-backs of Saracens are absolutely critical and, when you combine that with the way Alex Goode has been playing, they hold the key for them. I think it's going to be a really tight game. But I don't think there will be any hangover from Europe for Saracens.
