If Wales perform like they did today in the world champions' backyard, they'll get gobbled up for breakfast. But if anyone can sort them out, it's Warren Gatland.

England look like they continue to go in the right direction. George Ford needs to put today's performance firmly to the back of his mind. Can Eddie Jones continue to remain undefeated as England boss?

Joe Launchbury was terrific today. As was Jack Clifford.

Launchbury and Courtney Lawes might have given Eddie Jones something to think about regarding the four and five shirts.

England lock and man of the match Joe Launchbury on Sky Sports: "We didn't get the best of starts but it was great to see everyone dig in. We had a bit of control in the second half. Myself and all the squad wanted to put in a good performance."

Wales centre Jamie Roberts on Sky Sports: "It's frustrating. We thought we could have come out in the second half as well as we did in the first. That points swing at the start of the second half killed us. I won't say too much about their try (Jack Clifford's from Dan Cole's debated knock on).

"We came out the blocks well and I thought we brought intensity. We didn't sustain it for 80 minutes and we need to work on that for the All Blacks. We’re disappointed. We know the level we need to be at."

And fresh from saying those words, Dylan Hartley climbs the steps at Twickenham to collect the Old Mutual Wealth Cup.

Hopefully he'll recall collecting this piece of silverware, after admitting he didn't remember lifting the Six Nations trophy after a blow to the head.

England captain Dylan Hartley on Sky Sports: "It was a slow start from us. Wales came out the blocks. We were caught napping, credit to the boys, we stuck in there.

"I don't want to use short preparation time as an excuse. The first 20 minutes weren't up to where we needed to be. I've been doing plenty of fitness work - but nothing prepares you for a Test match. My feet are a bit sore."

Wales started brightly this afternoon, but drifted as the game drew on.

The line-out was sloppy - they lost three - and conceded 19 turnovers.

Plenty for Warren Gatland to ponder.

One last push from England with a line-out as the clock ticks past 80 minutes. It comes to nothing, and that's all folks.

A chance for Wales.

Hallam Amos, who has looked bright, slips through some shoddy England tackles and gives it to Rhys Priestland - but Mike Brown cuts him down and the Wales 10 knocks on.

It's almost a glorious start to his England career for Ollie Devoto.
