  1. Sin-bin (Thompson)published at 16:29 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Leicester 19-27 Wasps

Things are not looking good for Wasps.

They're desperately trying to hold on to their lead and now try scorer Guy Thompson is being sent from the field for a no-arms tackle.

A decision from the TMO there but seemed a borderline case.

  2. Postpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Bath 44-0 Newcastle

A rare break from Newcastle as Dom Waldouck and Juan Pablo Socino combine to send the Argentinian racing away.

Once that is stopped, Bath continue to make changes to their starting line-up with the game already won.

  3. Missed penalty (Burns)published at 16:25 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

  5. Penalty (Burns)published at 16:18 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Leicester 19-27 Wasps

Point by point they're working their way back.

Freddie Burns with a second penalty in quick succession and the tide is definitely turning.

  6. try

More slick hands from Bath allows David Atwood to score their sixth try of the afternoon in what is turning into a rout.

All one way traffic at the Rec and Newcastle seem to have absolutely no answers.

George Ford misses another conversion but it is of little significance.

  7. Penalty (Burns)published at 16:15 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Leicester 16-27 Wasps

Slowly but surely Leicester are clawing their way back into this game, Burns reducing the deficit to 11 points with just over 10 minutes played in the second period.

  8. try

Try (Slater, missed con Burns)published at 16:11 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Leicester 13-27 Wasps

It's as if Leicester were reading this commentary. Ed Slater finishes off a good team move to get Tigers back in it.

Freddie Burns with the long kick to JP Pietersen who controls the cross-field kick with a beautiful touch.

Slater then shows good power to get over the whitewash. This game is hotting up.

  9. try

    Try (Fotuali'i, con Ford)published at 16:09 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Bath 39-0 Newcastle

It is a case of picking up where you left off for Bath as Khan Fotuali'i takes a quick tap penalty to cross from close range.

Another conversion by George Ford and Newcastle respond by changing their whole front row.

They could do with a few more players at the moment to stop this Bath attack.

  10. try

Try (Jones, con Gopperth)published at 16:08 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Leicester 8-27 Wasps

We have to go to the TMO for confirmation but Sam Jones has indeed grounded the ball for Wasps and they're running wild at Welford Road.

Wasps attack began with a quick break and Joe Simpson showed superb pace to run clear.

Leicester, though, with some last-ditch defence stopped the initial break, before Jones was too strong and piled over the line.

Tigers desperately need to steady the ship.

  12. Kick-offpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Bath 32-0 Newcastle

We're back underway at the Rec where it will be damage limitation for Newcastle now, who need to get themselves on the scoreboard.

A disastrous start to the half for Leicester.

A mistake by Peter Betham gave Wasps the opportunity and Guy Thompson soared through the Tigers defence as Mike Fitzgerald missed a crucial tackle.

Once again Gopperth slots the conversion, he's been the standout player for Wasps so far this season.

  14. Danny who?published at 16:01 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

BBC Coventry and Warwickshire's Richard Mood has enjoyed the fly-half come centre Jimmy Gopperth in that first half

When Newcastle winger Vereniki Goneva was shown the yellow card and a penalty try was awarded for his movement stopping a try, the Falcons have fallen apart.

The try bonus point secured and I bet Todd Blackadder is thinking this Premiership lark is quite easy?

  19. try

Try (Rokodunguni, missed con)published at 15:47 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Bath 32-0 Newcastle

It was 6-0 after 32 mins to Bath.

As we approach half-time they now have the try bonus point and it is another team try with forwards and backs combining. Semesa Rokodunguni has that nack of getting on the end of the move and dots down.

George Ford misses his first of the afternoon from the tee but that was some finish to the half by Bath.

Jimmy Gopperth puts his kick wide with the clock on red and both sides trudge off to the dressing rooms.

A tight first 40 minutes with tries from Christian Wade and Lachlan McCaffrey but Wasps have a narrow advantage.

Damp conditions at Welford Road but things are picking up. Stay tuned for the second half.
