  1. HT: Northampton 5-10 Waspspublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

It all started so well for Northampton at Franklin's Gardens when George North crossed over for a try in the second-minute.

But, since then Wasps have turned it around and Jimmy Gopperth has all 10 points for them.

A brilliant breakaway try from Danny Cipriani's quick-thinking at the tap penalty and then a well-taken penalty to add another three points.

    Northampton 5-10 Wasps

Another missed chance for Northampton towards the end of the first half as again their handling lets them down off the back of the scrum.

A few little afters between both packs as they exchange some views and feel each others collars.

Again Saints look in for the line as George Pisi goes for the whitewash, but Luke Pearce says it was held up and that is also half-time.

Harlequins Tim Sweil boots the ball into touch and it's greeted by a huge roar from the crowd. Tim Visser opened the scoring with this interception try after six minutes and they've managed to keep the reigning Premiership champions to nil in this opening half.

  6. Stoic defencepublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Harlequins 17-0 Saracens

Saracens have been in control of the ball for the last ten minutes but a basic knock-on bursts the pressure bubble.

Harlequins clear their lines and with time ticking down to half-time can they hold on to the break?

  7. Northampton 5-10 Waspspublished at 38 mins

Northampton stretch the play once more out wide as Harry Mallinder makes a break along the right flank.

But, his offload inside is just too far ahead of Ken Pisi to gather and another half-chance goes begging for the hosts to get level.

  8. Northampton 5-10 Waspspublished at 36 mins

A bit of relief for Northampton as Wasps infringe at the scrum to give Saints a chance to find some territory.

They've been powerful upfront so far Northampton, but Wasps have had the bulk to match them.

So much so, they fail to hang on to the ball in a promising area and concede another scrum on Wasps' 10-metre line.

Worcester 19-17 Sale; Gloucester 10-7 Newcastle

At Sixways, Worcester have the home fans right behind them as they take the lead for the first time on 37 minutes. Ryan Lamb converts a Perry Humphreys try, which followed a score from Jonny Arr just before the half-hour mark.

There is no change at Kingsholm, where Gloucester continue to lead Newcastle 10-7.

  10. Northampton 5-10 Waspspublished at 34 mins

Well, nearly another breakaway try for Wasps as Josh Bassett makes a quick break through the home side's defence.

He shifts it to the right to Christian Wade and just as you await the inevitable, it's called back for a forward pass.

    Saints escape for now.

  11. Camped outpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Harlequins 17-0 Saracens

Saracens are currently camped out just short of the try line and they've turned down multiple opportunities to take the three points.

We're heading for another scrum but right now Harlequins are holding firm and maintaining the clean sheet after 33 minutes played.

  12. Penalty (Gopperth)published at 31 mins

    Northampton 5-10 Wasps

Wasps stretch their lead by three points after Jamie Gibson is penalised on the floor for Northampton for not rolling away at the ruck.

Nice kick from Gopperth's right-boot as it swings back in line between the posts and he has three points to add to his earlier try and conversion.

  13. Northampton 5-7 Waspspublished at 29 mins

More attacking endeavour from Northampton but also some brilliant defence from Wasps to match it.

Saints almost sneak in for another try on the blindside, but there's some cracking work on the floor by Wasps to turn it over from five metres out.

  14. First Saracens' platformpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Harlequins 17-0 Saracens

Mike Brown has a bit of a hairy moment dealing with a stray ball as Richard Wigglesworth puts him under huge pressure. The result is that Saracens have the scrum five metres out, what can they do with their first real attacking platform?

  15. Northampton 5-7 Waspspublished at 27 mins

Just a penalty against Wasps as Nathan Hughes escapes serious punishment for that tackle on Ben Foden.

Some sensible refereeing there from Luke Pearce who has a word with him and tells him to go back to his corner...

We're seeing some running rugby now from both sides, who are having a right go at each other.

Ben Foden and George North go on the burst for Saints, but then Christian Wade gets a chance for a dart himself.

But, there's a slightly late hit by Nathan Hughes on Foden after the Saints full-back kicks clear.

  17. Elsewherepublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

Worcester 5-17 Sale; Gloucester 10-7 Newcastle

Jamie Shillock gets Worcester on the board at Sixways, but Sale Sharks look good value for their 12-point lead after 25 minutes with Will Addison grabbing two tries for the visitors.

At Kingsholm, host Gloucester have taken the lead with Billy Burns slotting a penalty to edge them 10-7 in front.

  18. Missing Marlerpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Harlequins 17-0 Saracens

On the scoreboard Harlequins' start to this match couldn't have gone any better but they have lost Joe Marler to injury as he didn't pass an HIA assessment.

It will be a concern for Eddie Jones who is watching on from the stands and Mark Lambert will need to step up for the rest of the game.

    Northampton 5-7 Wasps

Well, we almost had a second Northampton try through Ken Pisi as he found a gap on the right.

But, following a review, it's deemed a Wasps penalty as Pisi was adjudged to have benefited from some crossing after a gap opened up in front of him from Elliot Daly and Alex Waller having a tangle off the ball.

Try (Walker, Sweil)published at 15:23 British Summer Time 24 September 2016

    Harlequins 17-0 Saracens

    What a start!!

Harlequins were keeping it tight but when the forwards came to a standstill they whipped the ball wide. Tim Sweil found Mike Brown and then Charlie Walker finished an easy two on one out wide.

After the opening 20 minutes Saracens are in an unfamiliar position while Harlequins are flying!
