It's all Wales, first half and the start of this second, Wales have been camped in the Argentina half.

Argentina are desperate to get possession - Wales are totally in control.

That is a brilliant finish, two-on-two but he cut inside and delivered a brilliant, brilliant finish.

Great play by Dan Biggar down the right first-of-all set up, they recycle the ball and get it out.

Then the finish, two men to beat - that took some doing.

  3. try

    Try (L Williams)published at 43 mins

    Wales 11-3 Argentina

Biggar with the dummy and he bursts through a gap in the Argentine defence. Wales fling it left, Liam Williams straightens but he's brought down a couple of yards short. We're picking up where we left off in the first half... hang on a minute, that's a try! Williams was brought down short but he managed to squirm over the line and touch down with his chest. Halfpenny misses the extras.

We're off again. Wales probing already, Halfpenny with the grubber, Liam Williams chasing but the ball rolls into touch.

  5. Do Wales have white-line fever?published at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2016

    Wales 6-3 Argentina

    Jonathan Davies
Former dual code international on BBC Two

I think Wales should have turned the pressure into points, I think they get a little white-line fever.

Defensively they're really, really up for it but they just need to find a little composure when they get near that try-line.

Owen Jones: Hate to be a downer but this is no better than the tired rugby of the last few years. Left at least 2 tries out there. Clueless.

  7. A war of attritionpublished at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2016

    Wales 6-3 Argentina

    Richard Williams
BBC Sport Wales at the Principality Stadium

Well, after all the talk of quick-running Pumas that was a war of attrition which Wales dominated without making it tell on the scoreboard.

It's going to be a an interesting team talk by the Wales coaching team because they will be happy with the improvement over last week but frustrated by their team's failure to turn all that pressure into points.

How important will that last passage of play be as Argentina's 14-men repelled an attacking Welsh scrum?

    Mike Phillips
Former Wales scrum-half on BBC Two

The energy levels and the intent to throw the ball wide has been great.

They're playing much more rugby, it's just unfortunate that Wales couldn't get the try at the end.

Dave Sommerville: How crucial is it that Wales didn't score during that last 5 minutes of the 1st half? Should've taken 3 points on offer.

Martin Hughes: How many penalties would Wales be up now if they hadn't kept plugging away for a try. What a waste!

    Wales 3-3 Argentina

    Richard Williams
BBC Sport Wales at the Principality Stadium

We're a long way short of a capacity crowd in Cardiff, and there is an unusually subdued atmosphere under the closed roof.

In the crowd's defence, there has not been a lot to get excited about on the field.

Argentina may have lost a prop, but they've won a mini-rugby battle there.

He is so unlucky there, it was brilliant strength from Liam Williams.

    He really is a handful.

Try for Wales? Great work by Liam Williams, shrugging off Moroni before reaching for the line. No, foot in touch. Wales scrum, again... scrum goes down but referee plays advantage. Prop Herrera is sent to the bin for persistent collapsing and Wales will scrum again, as soon as we get a new prop... Argentina hold out, win a penalty from the scrum and clear their lines. Chance gone, very disappointing for Wales, although their performance has been greatly improved since last week.

It's fair to say that in the modern age scrumming has become a chore - but aerial skills have vastly improved.

Argentina have been under so much pressure that when they've had a chance to release it they've just snatched at the ball. Twice!

  20. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Wales 6-3 Argentina

Wales scrum, five metres out. Wales win the penalty for a dodgy bind, Biggar kicks to the corner again. Wales must get something out of this, they've got Argentina reeling. Warburton takes at the line-out, Argentina mess things up, but this time scrum-half Landajo knocks on when he had a chance to clear.
