  1. He's back......published at 52 mins

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

Anthony Watson returns to a field 13 weeks after breaking his jaw during 'that' England training camp.

Can he impress Eddie Jones and Steve Borthwick who are watching on in Bath?

I'm really excited to see Anthony Watson back on. The guy has been training the house down and he's been really good for the whole team and the whole culture. It's great to see him go.

  2. Ford flies through the Exeter linepublished at 50 mins

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

If George Ford does leave the Rec, and go to Sale, Steve Diamond will be licking his lips having seen the run he has just done.

The England man scythed through the Exeter defence and it was down to Jack Nowell to stop the attack with another important tackle.

  3. Exeter holding onpublished at 47 mins

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

Exeter's defence do well to hold off the home side, forcing George Ford to try a drop goal from 40 metres out, but it goes under the posts.

  4. Bath back in controlpublished at 45 mins

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

It's a great break from Bath down the left wing and they earn a penalty 25 metres out which Ford kicks towards the corner.....

  5. Exeter start stronglypublished at 42 mins

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

Exeter are putting Bath under pressure right from the restart.

But as I write it they lose the ball in the home side's 22 after 18 phases of play.....

The Bath defence was unbelievable in that first half, so hopefully they can keep that going. But, Exeter look sharp in attack when they get the ball, so the boys have got to be wary.

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

The bookies say Exeter are 8/1 in a two-horse race to win this game.

Are Bath, who are 1/18, really that much better, or can the Chiefs cause what would be the mother of all upsets and turn this game around in the second period?

  10. Rokoduguni 1-0 Nowellpublished at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

In the battle of the big name wingers, Exeter's Jack Nowell is coming off second best to Semesa Rokoduguni.

Roko's scored one try and should have had another, if it wasn't for Nowell's great last-ditch challenge. Nowell has had a couple of half-decent runs, but he's not been allowed any open ground by Bath's miserly defence.

So, a half where Semesa Rokoduguni lit up the Rec in front of the watching England coaches.

Exeter in need of a spark to get them back into this one.

  13. Half-timepublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

Bath end a dominant first period at the Rec. Exeter need to think about how they can get through this home defence.

  14. Todd will be pleasedpublished at 39 mins

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

Todd Blackadder will be happy with what he has seen from his Bath side so far - they have made 404 metres and looked in control of every aspect of the game so far.

Exeter have never won at the Rec since they first joined the Premiership in 2010 and that record doesn't look like it's going to end any time soon.

Matt Garvey creates a fantastic turnover for Bath on their own 22 when it looked like Exeter might build a bit of pressure. His work has epitomised this Bath defence which has not let the Chiefs have a sniff so far today.

If anyone deserves a try today, it's Semesa Rokoduguni. He's been unbelievable today and Eddie Jones and Steve Borthwick are up in the stands watching, so a perfect time to do it.

  17. try

Try (Rokoduguni, missed con Ford)published at 31 mins

    Bath 11-0 Exeter

In front of England boss Eddie Jones Semesa Rokoduguni is having a blinder. His excellent run inside his own half sets up a period of Bath pressure on the Exeter tryline.

It gets fed back out to the Fijian born flyer who dances around a couple of Exeter challenges, including one from Olly Woodburn, to spectacularly ground in the corner.

    George Ford misses the conversion.

  18. Rob Baxter relieved or worried?published at 29 mins

    Bath 6-0 Exeter

Bath have dominated much of the early exchanges, but have yet to come away with a try.

One wonders what is going through Exeter boss Rob Baxter's mind - is he relieved to still be within a score, or frustrated that his side have not had more from this game?

His side have conspired to lose the ball each time they have had a foray into the Bath red zone, while only an excellent late tackle from Jack Nowell on Semesa Rokoduguni has kept Bath out.

Tomas Francis is penalised for an offence in the scrum five metres out. George Ford slots in the three-pointer from close range.

  20. No trypublished at 25 mins
