Gareth Vaughan:  Interesting way to keep Jonny Sexton fit and healthy for the Lions tour - basically keep him off the pitch in the sin bin!

Liam Owen:  My ribs are bruised just watching that first half.

Matty Parke: Both teams average. The All Blacks won't fear too much come the Lions visit.

Johnny Sexton has everything in his skill drawer, he can do anything.

What you get is the idea, the option, the decision and the execution. He is generally 9/10 in anything he does.

The power of George North to finish that try, he used everything he has got. Pace, power, strength.

Chrissy Mitch:  Wales are the only side trying to play rugby, Ireland might as well be playing football with the amount of kicking.

Dave Sommerville:  It may not be high scoring but it's compulsive viewing. Whoever scores first after the break may take this game.

Wales have attacked better tonight, no doubt about that, but you do worry if they will be made to pay for not scoring more in that first half.

It's a crazy game of rugby, fantastic. You could hear the noise of the contact from up here. Every part of that game lit up. It's unbelievably compelling.

There were a series of hits which built up. DOOF!

The home crowd are happy with that, the scoreline doesn't really do the game justice. So much tempo and energy to the game, and how important will that yellow card for Johnny Sexton prove to be?

I thought that Wales would have tried to get the ball wide and have Scott Williams or Jonathan Davies running at the injured Conor Murray.

That's what the Kiwis are great at. Identifying an injured player.

So Ireland trail, their scrum-half is clearly injured and their fly-half is in the sin bin for 10 minutes. Simon Zebo takes the restart.

Leigh Halfpenny could not miss that, dead in front. He drills it through.

And a yellow card to Johnny Sexton! Killing the ball on the line, he's in the bin for 10 minutes.

Can Wales score before the break? They have a big push on but that green line of defence is standing firm. Seven, eight phases, advantage...

Conor Murray is definitely not right, Ireland are going to nurse him through to half-time. Kieran Marmion is the obvious replacement on the bench.
