    Glasgow 9-9 Munster

The opening 20 minutes of the second-half has been very similar to the opening quarter of the match. Glasgow have looked threatening but Munster have been very effective in keeping them away from the try-line, happy to lose the occasional kickable penalty if it prevents more severe damage to the scoreboard.

  2. Price is rightpublished at 52 mins

    Glasgow 9-9 Munster

Ali Price is getting a stern test from the Lions scrum-half Conor Murray tonight but he has looked lively since the break.

The Glasgow number 9 is fed the ball off the top of a line-out and sees a gap outside hooker Niall Scannell and makes a half-break before feeding Lee Jones.

Glasgow are recycling and rumbling towards the line until the impressive CJ Stander disrupts things again at the breakdown and turns the ball over.

Chance gone for the home side.

  3. Glasgow 'must reassert themselves'published at 18:47 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Glasgow 9-9 Munster

Former Glasgow half-back Colin Gregor on Radio Scotland: "That came from Finn Russell being a bit over relaxed.  Glasgow now have to reassert themselves, get back down into the Munster half and get some tempo back into their attacking game."

  4. PENALTY Glasgow 9-9 Munsterpublished at 51 mins

    Tyler Bleyendaal

Glasgow can not hold on to the lead for any length of time in this match.

Finn Russell's clearance kick is charged down and Glasgow are left scrambling. Fraser Brown is penalised for holding on in the tackle and Tyler Bleyendaal kicks the three-pointer to bring his side level again.

  5. PENALTY Glasgow 9-6 Munsterpublished at 18:40 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Finn Russell

Tommy Seymour tears into the line to give his side front-foot ball.

From the next phase Finn Russell finds rampaging Tim Swinson with an inside pass.

Munster halt the momentum illegally and Russell kicks Glasgow back in front.

Munster may feel that's an acceptable outcome. They were stretched in defence there.

  6. Glasgow look to step it uppublished at 45 mins

    Glasgow 6-6 Munster

The home side have started this second period brightly.

Finn Russell is pulling the strings and fires another long miss-pass to Stuart Hogg. The Scotland full-back dances then darts through a gap. Glasgow recycle and look to swing play the other way but Keith Earls telegraphs Russell's pass and makes the interception to snuff out the danger.

  7. 'Another fascinating 40 minutes' coming uppublished at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    HT: Glasgow 6-6 Munster

    Chris Paterson
Scotland's record cap-holder on BBC Radio Scotland

"You hope it comes down to a moment of genius that wins it rather than a defensive error or lack of discipline.  And when you look at that Glasgow backline, you think there may be an X-factor moment there from the likes of Stuart Hogg or Tommy Seymour, or Alex Dunbar or Mark Bennett. On the flip side, Munster have Jaco Taute and Simon Zebo. It will be another fascinating 40 minutes."

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

  10. 'It's impossible to call'published at 18:27 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    HT: Glasgow 6-6 Munster

    Tom English
    BBC Sport Scotland at Scotstoun

"It is tight as a drum and monstrously physical out there. Both defences are really good, Munster's line speed is exceptional and Glasgow's defence - in that one time Munster asked them questions in attack with phase after phase - saw them off. It was a massive moment in the first half, and maybe in the context of the match. The psychology of the game would have been very interesting if Munster had scored. The margins are so fine and it is impossible to call.

"What chance this game coming down to a 50m howitzer kick from Stuart Hogg?"

  12. HALF-TIME: Glasgow 6-6 Munsterpublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

It's as tight as we imagined with neither side giving an inch.

There is an almighty scrap taking place on the floor, with Munster perhaps slightly happier with their work at the breakdown. They are slowing down the Glasgow ball and stopping the home side getting their back-line into the game.

The Irish side have looked threatening when they have broken into Glasgow territory but some terrific defence have kept them away from the try-line.

All the points have come from penalties, with Tyler Bleyendaal's two kicks cancelling out efforts from Finn Russell and Stuart Hogg.

This is a huge 40 minutes coming up.

    Glasgow 6-6 Munster

Donnacha Ryan is pinged for a high tackle on Ryan Wilson on halfway.

Stuart Hogg steps up to attempt another long range penalty but this one just slips by the post.

  14. PENALTY: Glasgow 6-6 Munsterpublished at 36 mins

    Tyler Bleyendaal

What on earth is Josh Strauss playing at?

The big number eight is caught on the wrong side of the ruck. Rather than try and avoid the referee's eye, he blatantly hauls Conor Murray back and is penalised.

To make things worse, Strauss mouths off to the official and is marched back another 10m, making Tyler Bleyendaal's task of levelling the match with the boot that much easier.

  16. PENALTY: Glasgow 6-3 Munsterpublished at 32 mins

    Stuart Hogg

Munster get pinged for holding on in the tackle.

The kick is around 60m out but Stuart Hogg belts a monster of a kick that sails straight between the sticks.

    Glasgow lead again.

  17. Glasgow's Warrior-like defencepublished at 27 mins

    Glasgow 3-3 Munster

Massive Glasgow defence to keeper Munster out.

Conor Murray slips a clever inside ball to Dave Kilcoyne on the charge from the line-out and the home side are forced to retreat.

CJ Stander and Peter O'Mahony are among several Munster forwards to pound at the line but after some terrific tackles from Finn Russell and Rob Harley among others, Glasgow are awarded the penalty.

Scotstoun breathes a huge sigh of relief.

  18. Price poleaxedpublished at 23 mins

    Glasgow 3-3 Munster

Glasgow have a scrum in a prime attacking position just outside the 22.

Josh Strauss picks up from the base and feeds Ali Price but just as the scrum-half looks to release the pass he is hammered by his opposite number Conor Murray and the ball is dislodged.

    Price 0 Murray 1

  19. PENALTY: Glasgow 3-3 Munsterpublished at 21 mins

    Tyler Bleyendaal

Munster attack with purpose and threaten to breakthrough until Lee Jones hauls down Keith Earls with a high tackle around the neck.

The penalty is awarded but the referee is happy that the Jones tackle did not merit any further punishment.

Tyler Bleyendaal makes no mistake and we are level again at Scotstoun.

  20. It's all kicking off....published at 17 mins

    Glasgow 3-0 Munster

Munster hit back at scrum time by forcing a penalty. Tyler Bleyendaal has a pop from near halfway but his kick drops just short.

Glasgow clear to touch and Munster attempt a quick lineout. The referee pulls play back and then Zander Fagerson and John Ryan get involved in a bit of a barney.

Both players are given a talking to but nothing more.
