Gloucester are putting Saracens under a lot of pressure at the breakdown. You sense we could be in for a very even contest tonight and there might not be much between the sides at all on the scoresheet come the final whistle.

It's all Gloucester right now as they're keeping hold of possession well and are forcing Saracens into full defensive mode.

Tom Marshall puts a brilliant kick behind but Schalk Burger shows the fruits of his experience and escapes danger. 

Wayne Barnes is heading to the TMO to check a couple of things. 

Willi Heinz puts the chip through that isn't handled by Saracens at all. David Halaifonua immediately pounces on the loose ball and attempts to ground it. Alas he can't and it's a conclusion of 'No Try' from Wayne Barnes and the TMO. 

Shouts of 'Gloucester, Gloucester, Gloucester' ring around Kingsholm as their pack win a scrum penalty against the put in and they head for the corner. 

Gloucester are pinged for straying offside and AlexLowzoski makes the easiest kick that he'll get all night in front of the posts.

Saracens' forwards are showing their first-class skills - Mako Vunipola is looking like he's never been away with ball in hand and next Schalk Brits puts a delicate chip through.

That Saracens crossed the white line in their first sustained attack of the match is a little ominous for Gloucester, so early in the game.

But it has not dampened the enthusiasm from the home fans. They are roaring their side on.

Saracens are looking every bit the world-class unit that we know they can be.

Saracens are enjoying these opening exchanges and as Gloucester are pinged around the half-way line Marcelo Bosch makes them pay. 

A spot of ill-discilpine from the hosts has handed Saracens promising field position. 

The visitors are using the width of the field well and patiently building. Mako Vuniopla make yards before Alex Lozowski finds Mike Ellery out wide. It's 12 phases and counting...

From 42 metres out Billy Burns steps up to the mark and nails his first kick at goal - it's his longest of the season so far and it sails through the uprights

Saracens look to build through the phases but a little confusion between Juan Figallo and Jim Hamilton means Figallo's pop pass heads forwards and we have our first scrum. 

It's a solid set piece from the Cherry and Whites before Saracens are penalised for blocking the Gloucester kick-chasers.

As you'd expect in the first two minutes both sides are just looking to get the measure of the other. A box-kick from Willi Heinz doesn't quite find the distance that he'd like and Saracens have a solid attacking platform to work from. 

Here we go! 

Both sides are looking to bounce back from disappointing Round 14 defeats but as we all know there can only be one winner. Let's find out which it will be! 

The players have headed back into the changing rooms and with a few minutes until kick-off you've just got time to get an evening cup of tea! 

It's a crisp night at Kingsholm and a packed house includes England head coach Eddie Jones who will be keeping a close eye on Saracens prop Mako Vunipola.

Now that night has fallen on an unseasonably-mild February day in Gloucestershire, Kingsholm looks as atmospheric as ever under the lights for the hotly-anticipated visit of defending champions Saracens.

The home faithful are really, really up for this one.

Will we see a sufficient reaction from Saracens to their surprise defeat last week? Or will the Cherry and Whites deliver a night for their fans to remember?
