"Just get him the ball," my Under-13 coach used to say when we had a 6ft 4 forward disposal. I mean, we were 12 and 13.

I imagine his metres-made stats that season would rival those of Semesa Rokoduguni this, but the Bath winger is way out in front of the rest when he gets ball in hand.

He's hardly had any ball in hand so far this afternoon.

  4. Penalty (Burns)published at 15:05 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Bath 10-18 Leicester

Another three for Freddie Burns with his longest kick of the season.

From just inside his own half he seems happy with it as soon as it is struck - it sails over with some metres to spare.

To emphasise the sunshine, just look at that sky. Glorious.

Leicester win a penalty from the first scrum of the second half and Freddie Burns lines up a long penalty...

  6. Kick-offpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Bath 10-15 Leicester

We're back underway at Twickenham through Freddie Burns.

Still most of the pitch bathed in sunshine, just the shadows of the stadium prevent it all being so.

  7. Leicester's Lions?published at 14:58 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

Dan Cole will certainly be one of the players on show today hoping to impress Warren Gatland ahead of the Lions this summer.

A stat for those backing Tigers - when your team have led in the Premiership this season at half-time, you have always gone on to win the match.

  8. Lowly Bristol travel to high-flying Exeterpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

Bottom of the table Bristol travel to second-placed Exeter needing at least a point to help boost what meager hopes they have of Premiership survival this season.

If they fail to win, relegation could be confirmed as early as next week.

Exeter, hosting Bristol for the first time in competitive fixture since the opening leg of the 2009-10 Championship play-off final, will move equal on points with leaders Wasps if they come up with a bonus-point win.

A reminder that kick-off has been delayed by 15 minutes because of traffic problems.

  9. Ex-England hooker Moore in intensive carepublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    HT: Bath 10-15 Leicester

To take a break from out focus on the field, we just want to send out a very warm get well soon message to former England international Brian Moore, who is recovering in intensive care after suffering a heart attack.

The 55-year-old former British and Irish Lions hooker, who played with distinction for Nottingham, Harlequins and Richmond, tweeted from St George's hospital in London earlier today.

    A intriguing half of rugby.

Two tries in the early stages for Leicester who were clinical with their half chances.

Bath, on their home Twickenham debut, have grown into the match but have work to do if they're leapfrog the team above them in the table the afternoon.

Tom Youngs is taken off just before the whistle for the Tigers.

  13. Missed penalty (Ford)published at 14:46 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

The last bit of action of the first-half sees George Ford miss a penalty from out wide, pretty much on the Leicester 10m line.

Difficult penalty that one from a man who doesn't kick sticks for England.

A couple of minutes to go and Leicester back in possession until Adam Thompstone knocks the ball on from a difficult pass in front of him.

Freddie Burns is back on his feet after receiving some treatment.

A lovely break by Adam Thompstone and then Leicester have the momentum with every attack.

Dominic Barrow barges himself over the line but there are two defenders with him to hold him up. Still a five metre scrum to Tigers, just over five minutes to go until half-time.

"George Ford is looking razor sharp as he looks to finish his Bath career on a high, but another international, the Bath number eight Taulupe Faletau has also shown some nice touches.

"Earlier this week Todd Blackadder said the Welshman was 'back in the groove' after a difficult injury-hit season, and backed him to again go on the Lions tour."

  20. Penalty (Ford)published at 14:30 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Bath 10-12 Leicester

The simplest of penalties for the England number 10 George Ford.

Credit to Bath for coming back into this as Leicester looked like they could break away but they've been the better team since the opening two scores.
