Interesting to see Peter O'Mahoney steal an early Crusaders line-out - the Irishman continuing the fine form shown for Munster last season.

O'Mahoney's efficiency and understanding of the set-piece could make him a good bet for Test selection.

His hard-hitting approach and tactical nous have helped the Lions produce a much improved performance at the AMI Stadium, which in terms of atmosphere is quite like Munster's passionate Thomond Park. O'Mahoney should feel right at home.

Jonathan Davies receives treatmentImage source, PA

Jonathan Davies is now being sent off for an HIA after that hit in the tackle.

That's unlucky for the Lions, Davies has started well and formed a good understanding with Owen Farrell.

Jonny Sexton comes on at fly-half and Farrell moves into the centre.

    Crusaders 3-6 Lions

Straight from the kick-off the Lions win the ball back!

Luke Romano is held aloft but he can't gather and the Lions are there in numbers.

But it's Wales centre Jonathan Davies who once again can't gather the slippy ball faced with an on-rushing Richie Mo'unga.

The Lions have only scored two tries so far on this tour - but they were close to a third there.

With Stuart Hogg off, interesting how Anthony Watson has slipped in at full-back rather than Liam Williams.

The Welshman has plenty more international experience in that position. Says something about possible Test wingers, perhaps?

  6. Penalty (Mo'unga)published at 25 mins

    Crusaders 3-6 Lions

And Richie Mo'unga makes no mistake.

Crusaders back to within three points.

    Crusaders 0-6 Lions

A lovely line from Matt Todd who has support from Bryn Hall inside him. The Crusaders have options all over the place here.

But the Lions concede the penalty - they'll take that.

Crusaders will have a chance to get on the scoreboard.

    Crusaders 0-6 Lions

Taulupe Faletau is tackledImage source, PA

The Crusaders kick to the corner and that's clean ball from the line-out.

The temperature is rising here as the Crusaders' backs finally get some ball.

Jordan Taufua tries a little chip on but it's read well by the Lions and they've got ball in hand.

Conor Murray clears from the back of the ruck, but this is a better period from the Crusaders.

    Crusaders 0-6 Lions

The Crusaders win a vital scrum on the halfway line and they're right in the Lions' faces celebrating that small victory - which naturally annoys the men in red.

Scuffles break out across the field, but they're broken up fairly quickly.

The Crusaders are fired up here.

We knew it would be a good game and the opening quarter has given us flashes of quality, physicality and intensity. The Lions have started really well and are looking a lot more cohesive with Farrell at 10. The forwards seem to go looking for him and are able to create a second wave of attack which almost lead to a opening try within a minute!

This is a battle of two top teams, we all wanted to see the Lions respond to the disappointment of Wednesday and they've done just that. We are only 20 minutes in and a game of this magnitude will be won on fine margins.

Let's hope the boys can get their detail spot on!!

Ugo will be live on the BBC Sport Facebook page after the match to answer your questions - visit www.facebook.com/bbcsport, external now and you’ll get a notification when he’s ready.

Stuart Hogg leaves the fieldImage source, Getty Images

Stuart Hogg is up, but there's a huge gash on his head and a lot of the red stuff on his shirt.

Anthony Watson is shaping up to come on. The Englishman goes to full-back as Liam Williams stays on the wing.

An indication of Warren Gatland's thinking there?

    Crusaders 0-6 Lions

George Kruis takes the line-out ball.

Owen Farrell fires the ball out to Stuart Hogg who joins the line and makes good ground.

But the move breaks down as the ball comes back into the midfield.

Stuart Hogg launches a high kick and he catches an elbow from Conor Murray as he runs through.

The Lions full-back is down and looking groggy.

    And the Lions' dominance continues.

In goes Sean O'Brien as the ball goes forward from Jordan Taufua - scrum to the Lions.

They've had the better of that All Blacks front row so far.

And once again, it's the Crusaders who are penalised - early shove this time.

As the New Zealand outfit are scratching their heads, Owen Farrell shapes up to kick to the corner.

Full-back Israel Dagg told us in the week the Crusaders players had been discussing via Whatsapp how many high balls the Lions would be kicking. Maybe fly-half Richie Mo'unga wasn't on the thread? That drop has led to the Lions doubling their lead.

    And it's the same result.

    Straight down the middle.

The Lions pack are standing up against this experienced Crusaders front five.

A very encouraging first period for the Lions.

    Crusaders 0-3 Lions

Owen Farrell sends a huge kick into the night sky, which looks slightly long but Richie Mo'unga is the latest victim of the dewy surface as he spills the ball forward.

The Lions have good field position here and the scrum goes well once again.

    It's a penalty!

Owen Farrell will go for goal once again.

  17. Penalty (Farrell)published at 13 mins

    Crusaders 0-3 Lions

A high tackle from Matt Todd merits a warning from the referee and Owen Farrell sends his first kick of the game straight through the uprights.

Exactly the start the Lions would have wanted.

    Crusaders 0-0 Lions

The Crusaders win a free-kick from the scrum and fly-half Richie Mo'unga tries a cheeky kick out to George Bridge on the wing.

But he's wrapped up by George North and safely marshalled into touch.

And it's brilliant play from the Lions pack as they secure a drive from the line-out in a difficult position and Conor Murray completes the exit strategy with a good kick.

And the Lions steal the line-out!

They've got the Crusaders on the back foot at the moment.

Conditions look slightly tricky out there.

The pitch is extremely greasy and players are slipping all over the field.

It's been a hectic start - more like a game of pinball than rugby so far.

    Crusaders 0-0 Lions

Crusaders have a line-out in a very dangerous position here, but it's overthrown by Codie Taylor.

They've got that one horribly wrong.

The ball is collected by Owen Farrell and the Lions clear their lines.
